I live where Bald Eagles are plentiful, literally in the thousands (Pacific Coast). It is hilarious to see them being chased by irate Seagulls.

If Franklin saw his country today, he’d probably see that the Bald Eagle is very fitting as a national symbol.

What a moronic statement. If we were to use any animal instead name me one that cannot be criticized one way or another. How about instead of doing the leftist thing and focusing on negative aspects of everything American, you can realize that no nation ever in the history of the universe cannot be torn down, belittled and denigrated in as many ways as the leftards do and that every nation that has people will have flaws and try to take in the positive and the negative ? Unless you are perfect that is. Your statement is either misguided about the eagle or about the US, the greatest nation that has ever existed. Unless you can find another that is overall better.

“A bird of bad character” because it steals other birds’ food, like Americans didn’t steal this land from Native Americans and call it their own…

We didn’t steal the land from them. We fought for it and won. It has been happening throughout time. Countries fighting other countries and taking land. Get over it and stop with the mis-information.

The Radioactive “Miracle Water” That Killed Its Believers

If you lived in the 1920s, you might have found a pamphlet advertising “the greatest therapeutic force known to mankind.” Radithor was a tiny bottle of clear, colorless water that claimed to cure acne, anemia, heart disease, poison ivy, impotence, asthma, and any other malady you could imagine. There was only one side effect: DEATH.

So, why did 1920s Americans go gaga for radioactive water? Well, it’s complicated.

What’s Really Underneath This Massive, Noisy Siberian Crater?

In a remote area of the Siberian tundra, there’s a place that locals call ‘The Gateway to Hell.’ In the summer, its peaceful waterfall sounds are interrupted by the booms and crashes of falling earth.

And while it‘s not actually a portal to another dimension, the Batagay Crater (technically a “megaslump”) is an unsettling mark of our changing world.
