Why are so many comments so negative? I thought the tricks were amazing and magical and although he might not have given a concrete step by step plan to get your childlike wonder back… isn’t that the point? To look differently at things, to think what could this be. Don’t look just at what is, look at what is possible. His magic tricks were the shift of perspective.
I personally really enjoyed it and wish I still had the abundance of imagination I had as a kid. A reminder to look at ordinary things and wonder is great in my opinion 😊💕

🎵 Music 🎶 has always been a crucial instrument for fostering community, healing and conjuring liberatory futures. In this piece, Madiba explores his love for music and how, during a night out at a concert, he regrettably missed seeing Tracy Chapman and the Manhattan Brothers performing.

Through this playlist, we explore the present past and the haunting events that continue to contribute to current struggles for FREEDOM.

We remember Mam’ *Winnie* and her sacrifices and feel our way through her pain, courage and temerity and draw inspiration from to continue to work for a society in which the constitution is a lived reality for all.

    *Dalai Lama* ✍️🌿

_Generally, as long as the human mind exists, the seed of compassion exists. Just by being born, the seed of compassion is present as a part of our mind. Moreover, of all the types of mind, the compassionate mind is the most powerful. Recognizing the existence of this fundamental potential of love and compassion, intrinsic within us all, and knowing how to develop it, is of the greatest significance. If we think about this carefully, a heavy responsibility is placed upon our physical, verbal, and mental activities._

    *Dalai Lama* ✍️🌿

_In big cities, on farms, in remote places, throughout the countryside, people are moving busily. Why? We are all motivated by the desire to make ourselves happy. To do so is right. However, we must keep in mind that too much involvement in the superficial aspects of life will not solve our larger problem of discontentment. Love, compassion, and concern for others are the real sources of happiness. With these in abundance, you will not be disturbed by even the most uncomfortable circumstances. So, if we really want happiness, we must widen the sphere of love. This is basic common sense._

─ His Holiness *Dalai Lama* ✍️🌿

    *Dalai Lama* ✍️ 🌿

_If you practice compassion, whether you believe in a religion or not, you will come to realize the value of compassion for your own peace of mind. The very atmosphere of your own life becomes happier, which promotes good health, perhaps even a longer life. By developing a warm heart, we can also transform others. As we become nicer human beings, our neighbors, friends, parents, spouses, and children experience less anger. They will become more warmhearted, compassionate, and harmonious. You will see the world around you change little by little. Even a small act of compassion grants meaning and purpose to our lives_ .

─ His Holiness *Dalai Lama* ✍️🌿

    *Dalai Lama* ✍️🌿

_It is our essential nature to be compassionate. From the moment we’re born our mother takes care of us. Without this care we would not survive. This experience is our first opportunity to learn that compassion is the root of all happiness. However, this natural appreciation of compassion seems to fade once we go to school. We need to be reminded that good health and a peaceful state of mind are founded on love and compassion._

Maybe without trying, I think he made my favorite magic show too. The last time I can remember playing with a box was in college when my roommate invented box skiing. We tied a rope to a bike and took turns pulling each other across the athletic field. That gave way to sitting on the handlebars and riding the bike sitting backward which is actually more challenging than it sounds. It was fun and re-enforced my belief that it is important to have friends of all ages–he was a little younger. I’m in a situation now where there are no young adults to hang out with and I can actually feel myself stagnating. Old people are good for sharing wisdom so you know which rules to break to get the proper hard knocks to be wise like them. Young people help one maximize fun in rule breaking and getting up in the morning to do it again despite the headache.

    * The war in Ukraine plows up the “historical” borders of Russia
(The forecast of the philosopher Mikhail Aroshenko, the city of Dnipro, Ukraine)
*When will the war in Ukraine end? The ancient Greek philosopher Plato argued that only the dead see the end of the war… The other day, near Kharkov, the Armed Forces of Ukraine not only defeated, but intellectually outplayed the troops of the Russian Federation, of which there were twice as many! The Armed Forces of Ukraine used the tactics of the famous boxer Muhammad Ali: “Fly like a moth and sting like a wasp!” As a result, Ukraine received trophies in a week – about 300 tanks, guns and armored vehicles. The myth of the invincible “second army of the world” has been dispelled once again.
    * Roll call of centuries: After the defeat in the Crimean War of 1853-56. The Russian Tsar abolished serfdom. After the defeat in the “Crimean War” 2014-2023. Russia is waiting for historical changes…
    * 54 thousand soldiers and officers of the Russian Federation, 11 generals have already died in battles … The flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the cruiser “Moskva”, lies at the bottom. In the Crimea, at the airfield near Saki, in one day on 08/09/22, 23 aircraft and helicopters of the 43rd Sevastopol Aviation Regiment (half of all fleet aircraft) were destroyed or damaged. This missile attack will go down in the history of wars. There have been no such one-time losses in the USSR-Russia since 1945. Russia has already lost 468 planes and helicopters, over 6,000 tanks and armored vehicles… This is a blow to the ambitions of the Kremlin, which has lost out to new war technologies….
    * “Why do we need such a world if there is no Russia?” – said Putin. In the Caucasus, they answer: “Why do we need such a Russia, because of which there will be no peace?” To get away from sanctions, the USSR-2 will be created – the Siberian Soviet Social Republic with its center in Novosibirsk. An independent Tatarstan and a renewed Chechnya will receive Turkey’s support. The real Russia is no more than other average countries in the world. The rest of the national republics are its colonies, which one way or another will become free. The decolonization of Russia is inevitable, like the coming of dawn after night.
*Russia is still based on fear and professional slavery. She will face many years of rehabilitation and retribution for her manic desire to rewrite the history of the 20th century, because the Kremlin has long suffered from imperial “political schizophrenia” – megalomania and persecution delusions … The Putin era will end in disgrace, but “collective Putin” will remain. 70% of the population from the “generation of envy of the successful” supported the war.
    * After the defeat of Putinism, a new stage of renewal will begin. Most of the “deep people” will rebuild. From the period of supporting the war – to freedom of expression, creative life, creative economy and politics!
    * The historical genetics of Russia is the permanent seizure of foreign lands and property, the recognition of someone else’s as one’s own. After the defeat, Russia will have a chance to climb from the centuries-old imperial dress into democratic pants…

This video is titled “The Trick to Regaining Your Childlike Wonder” this video shows a man making a famous movie, performing magic tricks with the main focus is a box. The outline of this video is, as adults we need to see things from a child’s point of view, because by thinking like that, ideas that are beyond reason will emerge. I also really agree with this kind of thinking, as adults we often make assumptions about things, so our views are like what we see. When we think outside the box, we must leave our assumptions behind, we must have curiosity and wonder like a child. Having a child-like gaze, isn’t something wrong.
