Sweet, something else we donโ€™t need.

Maybe I missed it but I didnโ€™t see the ability to program it to start toasting at a specific time. That would be the feature I would want. I could care less about adding pictures, calendars, or any of that stuff.

That is the dumbest idea ever. Now I have to be scared of my toaster watching and hearing me. Or better yet getting the wrong update causing it to think it is a dishwasher and bricking it.

they should have put a scanner on it so that it can only accept bread made by the toaster manufacturer.

Go get a Mitsubishi toaster or a Balmuda toaster which the two are nearly as expensive as the revolution toasters minus the bells and whistles like touchscreen gimmicks. The Japanese toasters really make the toaster taste better like super moist and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside! I got the Mitsubishi toaster and it totally worth the 600 dollars!

      $600 for a toaster? Youโ€™re nuts.

My sister has a smart refrigerator. We experienced a power outage. When the power came back on, it burned out a circuit board in her refrigerator, requiring an $800 repair. That same power outage had NO EFFECT on my low-price โ€œdumbโ€ refrigerator. Both refrigerators perform the same function: they keep food cold. This is why I donโ€™t buy smart appliances.

My toaster โ€œtoastsโ€ 4 pieces of bread at the same time. Can your smart toaster do that? Huh? Huh? Thought not.

So a diamond shaped heating element consumes less energy to produce same amount of heat as others do?
Have you tested with kill-a-watt meter (or something like that) or did you just regurgitate the material manufacturer sent to you.
