Different views on economic policy or the US’s place in global politics? I can work with those. But as soon as someone starts wanting to make laws on how I or my friends interact with our doctors about medical care or try to ban our gender expression? That’s a hard no, thank you.

Monks live in communities called monasteries. They are isolated from society, yes, but they aren’t isolated from people in general. They live with like minded people who live a similar lifestyle and support each other.

I disagree. Making friends is simple, do something in your life and keep doing it!!! Don’t just go hiking with a new group one time or go to some kind of event one time and never show up again. If you like the event. Keep doing it, you will make friends. Just like in school, you have to go to classes every day, you will slowly have a group of friends.
