@Modal Morpheus Give one piece of evidence that Jesus is the son of God. And then give any claim in science based on as weak an argument.

Why dark though? Why canβt it be light energy? π

Because we can detect light and we don’t detect light coming from these Dark Matter Halos.

Everybody always asks what is dark energy, never how is dark energy π

Dark energy is different from dark matter. She’s talking about dark matter which is only observable based on its gravitational interaction. Dark energy is the vacuum state energy that is perpetually present within even completely empty regions of spacetime and which causes it to expand at a seemingly accelerating rate over time. Both are called “dark” because we have no way of truly observing their responsible particles/field excitations/force carriers. These phenomena just exist and we have no clue what causes them or why. We are building several dark matter detectors to hopefully find out what particle(s) actually comprise dark matter. There are several competing theories. Among the leaders are WIMPs (weakly interacting massive particles), non-accreting black holes, microscopic primordial black holes, neutrinos, cosmic strings, and cold rogue planets.

Lol. It’s so sad that grown adults with access to all of mankind’s information still choose to stick their head in the sand and delude themselves with a 2000 year old fairytale that only served to enforce morality onto an ignorant and barbaric population of people.

When the observations no longer fit your model but you’ve come to far to turn back nowπ

I mean…we have several models which all seem ALMOST complete but have several discrepancies. Relativity, quantum physics, and the Standard Model all explain different situations very well but can’t be effectively applied to others. Eventually, we’ll have a Grand Unified Theory of Everything. We are missing the few pieces of information which plug in and complete the models fully and mix them all together perfectly so that we can explain every single phenomenon and physical law in existence. It will happen eventually, but until we get that solution, we apply the current models that fit the best of the best. We continue to make observations, conduct experiments, calculate the equations in different ways and test the results, and eventually we will come up with the golden solution that can explain black holes and the Big Bang, but also field excitations and tunneling. π
