If you have to plug it, then its not portable.

True, even a gaming laptop has a battery.

      March 30, 2022 at 8:31 pm

@SeKToR Apple’s target audience are multi millionaire production studios, this thing is supposed to be cheap. At this point you might as well just buy a gaming laptop

    • SeKToR

      March 30, 2022 at 8:52 pm

@Comrad Euro I can assure you multi million dollar studios do not use apple products to render. LOL.

      March 30, 2022 at 10:51 pm

@Comrad Euro gaming laptops are great as long as you’re happy with very loud fans. And to be fair this setup is half the price of a midrange laptop.

One complaint for the video editor: the lapel mic is way too loud causing an extorsion throu everyone’s speaker. You need to low the mic down a bit.

This along with emulation, would be a good little hybrid portable option when traveling!

Though a budget gaming laptop would cost more, it will do more tasks other than just gaming and also will get more portable and better overall!..

Plus you can play Xcloud if you really want to play Xbox Series games! ????

    • David Handley

      March 30, 2022 at 10:47 pm

If you’ve ever owned a gaming laptop you’ll know how obnoxiously loud they get. The Xbox Series S is practically silent at all times.

Way! Too expensive for what it is. 1080p/60 … Weak! You’re literally paying for two Series S consoles for the price. Was this a shill video? Do not buy this. That’s at most a $100-$120 screen. For that price it should have at least been 1440p/120hz. Do not buy!

The Steam Deck makes more sense than this.

    • David Handley

      March 30, 2022 at 10:45 pm

Depends on lifestyle choice. I’ve had a Switch since day 1 and can count on 1 hand how many times I’ve used it in public.

How’s the form factor compared to a portable lcd screen you could get for $150?

    • David Handley

      March 30, 2022 at 10:44 pm

I have a similar screen by G Story. I thought about getting a cheaper portable monitor but the G Story much like this screen being reviewed is very sleek. That’s worth a lot in my opinion.

What a waste of money. Just get a switch, steam deck or phone/ipad and stream your game.

My problem is, Xbox is very finicky when trying to game without an internet connection, or I would jump in this setup

  15. ArcaneThinker

    March 30, 2022 at 10:02 pm

Might as well get a laptop at that point…. Xbox games + better specs + better screen that way

    March 30, 2022 at 11:22 pm

*The X screen isnt worth it the cost is practically the same as the Series S and it doesnt do 4k and 120hz it’s a hard pass. Not mention the small screen size is the same reason I don’t use monitors and prefer TV’s. Nintendo Switch is still the best choice for gaming on the go.*

    • UnseenBonesOffical

      March 30, 2022 at 11:47 pm

    • Alan Richardson

I’m surprised to not see it compared to buying a portable monitor that takes HDMI and could be powered from USB. It wouldn’t be as elegant for sure, but the quality could be higher for the price

no dude this is a waist of money on garbage not fun!
look at this screen’s design with huge borders they are straight from early 2000s and its not even the best ips matrix i see from here. it should be amoled at least.
instead of loosing time on some junk like that better make a real xbox portable that can fit in a pocket like a normal smartphone nowadays. let it it cost like all of console lame screen snd accessories put together but that would be.something dope if it also could have some exlusive games, remastered and trending games.

Some unknown chinese company will going to launch knockoffs for 20$ or less, here in India you can buy Chinese-delhi made 24inch led displays for 14$ ofcourse display quality isn’t that good but still you can buy cheap monitor!

    Series S is a LAST gen console…

  34. Chris Jarram

    March 31, 2022 at 7:23 am

That screen is garbage for the price. Decent 60hz 1080p IPS 17″ portable monitor is less than $100

  35. Erragall

    March 31, 2022 at 7:26 am

Just buy a portable monitor instead like the wimaxit hahhah you get allt more versatility as an extra laptop screen, turn your phone into a table, and its cheaper

  36. Fred Bassett

    March 31, 2022 at 9:24 am

Terrible product, look at Linus tech review on this its a joke, so flimsy and delicate.

  37. adli daiki

13” and 14” inch gaming laptop more slim and portable, its the best choice

Portable but still need a power cord

    • leesin

      March 31, 2022 at 1:30 pm

But can reach 60FPS and won’t lose battery charge, features the Nintendo Switch struggles with. Lol

    • Barry Ward

      March 31, 2022 at 1:49 pm

To be fair if you look up “portable” it’s defined as something that’s easily carried/moved. So technically this is correct.

    • leesin

      March 31, 2022 at 1:52 pm

@Barry Ward Portable for me means easily carried to one place or another.

… so the screen can be higher up? Are you dense?

  42. Antonio VH

uff $250 wow here i was thinking $100

  43. Jmeon4eva

    March 31, 2022 at 2:29 pm

Remember when things like X-Screen were sold for same price, but were a 5inch CRT packaged in Nyko style packaging, about 20 years ago, for all 3 systems?

    • Jmeon4eva

      March 31, 2022 at 2:32 pm

And since it’s an SSD, while in the car there’s literally no moving parts to get damaged beyond the fan.

  44. Mohammed Mesum Hussain

    March 31, 2022 at 3:19 pm

Wow! Such a stupid project! Literally just go and buy a Steamdeck.

  45. On the Bright Side

    March 31, 2022 at 5:52 pm

I’ve had the Xscreen since it’s release in February. It’s great. Crisp picture. The built-in crosshairs for FPS games are a nice touch, and the single power cable is a plus. I agree with the advice on when to close the lid after gaming. Also get the case. The only downsides are the price of the screen and the price of the case. Just under $200 would be a good price for the screen, and the case shouldn’t cost more than $30.

  46. Dark_Winter

    March 31, 2022 at 6:00 pm

Surprised you did not compare it to the steam deck. Seemed like the logical thing to do.

  47. ???????????????????????????? ????????????????

    March 31, 2022 at 6:17 pm

    Not worth it imo

  48. DynoD66

    March 31, 2022 at 10:02 pm

Way to expensive. Need to bring the price down.

  49. Lunasmoke Zim

    April 1, 2022 at 12:02 am

On one side you have fanboys constantly dunking the Series S. On the other, you have Series S owners who love the little man. I actually think this was a brilliant call by Xbox. But it’s the follow-up to the Series S that’s gonna be the must buy. You can tackle portable gaming from the other angle. By making a console small enough to be portable, rather than a handheld that is aiming for console quality gaming. Sell the screen as option attachment, along with battery pack options.

  50. residentgood

    April 1, 2022 at 2:24 am

Xbox needs to make a portable console soon competition with switch, steam,

  51. Darrin Sledge

    April 1, 2022 at 3:17 am

I got mines last week, I love it. One of the Best investment i ever made, i recommended the monitor If u purchase the series S.

I don’t use all the other ports, just glad the screen doesn’t block the memory slot…..it was important.

I have both consoles and don’t regret my decision on buying both at all, but I do say u need this Screen If u buy the Series S

  52. ruben hargis
