Your mental and emotional health is no one else’s problem but your own. Stop assuming all of society is here to pander to your laziness and lack of ability to be stable.

      Your sanity keeps no-one safe?
It’s little effort to care for one a norther but humans have limited success without it.

Ps. Stability isn’t an ability its a State.

It was very interesting. She talked about the power of storytelling and how it has increased mental wellbeing amongst physicians. She also added little notes such as life is extremely short and even though story telling and decreasing stress may not directly increase our life expectancy, it will definitely increase physicians quality of life and in turn increase ours too because we rely on them.

I bet there’s a number of ppl committing to a profession mainly for money or familial expectations- there’s the disconnection between you vs your job/coworkers/patients etc. It’s sad if ppl can’t find even a minute of their work day to show a bit of their human side or give someone an ounce of attention
Don’t let productivity demands get the best of you

Mental health has to the priority of this time and age. No matter how successful you are. Irrespective of your profession. Mental health gives you fulfillment in life. Having lots of accolades won’t help if you are not able to keep yourself sane. And storytelling is one of the best ways to keep sane.

8:50 – I appreciate aspiring doctors having high standards, but with absolutely no offense intended: I don’t _want_ my doctor to remember my birthday and my favorite color! I want them to remember my name and my last diagnosis. Remembering things takes up space, and our memory’s capacity is limited. I don’t want anyone to waste their precious precious memory to to give me the warm and fuzzies when I see my physician. A friendly smile and agreeable behavior will suffice plenty. Please do not ruin your own motivation with completely overblown expectations of yourself!

It depends on the person. Some doctors ive been with took some extra notes about say a patients dog. Older patients and or patients with very bad illnesses need a personal connection. It’s wonderful to see one happen. I’m sorry if youve ever felt before like a physician you have been with didnt remember important stuff like your diagnosis. Everyone on this world deserves an amazing physician!

First thank you for acknowledging this huge problem in healthcare. I know your work focuses on Doctors and Medical Students, but I fear you’re forgetting nurses and other direct caregivers here. We carry the emotional burden in healthcare more than any other providers. We are at the bedside with the patients 24 hours a day. Caring for the sick and dying, and comforting the families. We sit at the bedside, holding hands, teaching, and providing emotional support, and 99% of direct care. We are the main communicators, and coordinators of care. We are the ones blamed when anything goes wrong, whether the problem was us, the physician, or a systems problem. We get blamed, harassed, attacked etc. at much higher rates than doctors. Often the Docs are unwilling to communicate with one another, and force us to be the go between. Then when something gets lost in translation, we are blamed again. We often have to break the bad news to patients and families about downturns and poor prognosis, especially in the ICU, because many doctors just won’t, or aren’t equipped to handle it. So thank you for your ideas, and maybe you or a colleague could look into the effects on Nursing, the burnout rates, the depression, anxiety, substance abuse, etc. I believe this is one of the core issues of the nursing shortage, and our failure to retain nurses in the profession. In the time of Covid 19 many bedside nurses are near their breaking points and are considering career changes for their own well-being. Thanks for your research.

      Matthew 11:28-30
” Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
” Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.
” For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. “

And this looses all value when she makes it into an efin business again! Wtf with north Americans? Can they do something for free? Can this woman help others she knows are in need, FOR FREE? How will it help if those trying to heal have to PAY someone to hear their stories? If this woman really and Truly wants to help let her do it for FREE! If not she does not deserve My admiration, but judged as just another “business man”, profiting out of other’s sufferings with the pathetic facade of being “humanitarian” and “helpful”… Let’s do real change and stop making EVERYTHING INTO A PROFIT MAKING MACHINE!! Money is a MEANS NOT A GOAL, AND cannot be men’s only motivation in life, that’s just sick!

See how she recognised we it! If she was doing it for the Right reasons, could she FORGET WH she is doing what she is doing?? She only forgets because the REAL reason she does what she does he s MONEY AND PRIDE OR GREED AND PRIDE, if not there is no way a True Hu-man could forget the reasons why one does what one does.
