Krunoslav Stifter what makes you think I am a “conservative?”

    • Krunoslav Stifter

      November 27, 2019 at 4:56 pm

@Bob Langert I didn’t say you were. I implied the obvious, which is that TED platform and brand is synonymous with left leaning and left radical speakers and agendas. And has in the process alienated many people. So when the title is “The business case for working with your toughest critics ” I find it ironic to tell that story on TED which would it seem sooner perish than have a conservative speakers, by conservative I pretty much mean anyone not following the specific narratives of progressive or rather regressive political narrative. If you follow TED uploads its quite apparent that its just a giant ideological echo chamber. It went from ideas worth spreading slogan to ideologies no one should spread. The only kind of speakers who are non conforming that are allowed to speak are those that do not rock the boat, but there are no real opposing ideas on TED. And certainly “ideas worth spreading” is a thing of the past. I thought you knew this, being a TED speaker, or are you too part of the bubble.

When I hear someone works corporate for McDonald’s, my gut says, “you are not going to like this person.” And that’s a terrible instinct. It’s nice to be reminded that just because someone works on something you don’t understand or agree with, it doesn’t mean there’s nothing there.

Interesting talk, thank you. I think personal vulnerability gets talked about more, but business vulnerability does not. It’s nice to be reminded that there are conscientious people behind the “suit” willing to compromise, learn, and make changes.

You are no longer allowed to criticize anything in modern society, lest it offend someone. So no more critical thinking, no more finding fault with anything, no more solving problems, no more being better. Everything just be quiet, buy products and pretend all of society is here to service only you.

Sounds good 😁 So this weekend, on visiting Germany, I will try a rational and evidence based discussion about the so called “holocaust”. Because it is all open and rational I will not just get shouted down as NAZIS, hater, racist, anti semite… I will not get arrested, this YouTube comment will not get deleted and we all enjoy a rational appraisal of history 😁

  20. Marc Sharp

    November 27, 2019 at 12:51 pm

I hope you got paid for this 15min McDonald’s commercial. While I find it ok that they react to criticism this way, they need to be their own critic first. Question everything before anyone else has to step in. That would be a real game changer.

    • Gregg Everman

      November 27, 2019 at 2:09 pm

“Be their own critics first”. Words to live by.

  21. Rain Dog

    November 27, 2019 at 3:19 pm

Why not start competing with companies like impossible foods and make your own fake realistic meat and be done with the meat industry altogether? You won’t get a more reasonable critique from your toughest critics than that.
