Getting rid of swiping thru watch faces was a terrible idea. They replaced it with… nothing. Swiping doesn’t do anything. Watch faces got friction. Why? They may not be sure either as it’ll be an optional return in 17.2. Wish you had gone into it more. It makes no sense and deserved more than a passing mention.

As somebody who has their phone in landscape mode, while it’s charging, some of the standby mode faces are welcome, but it’s very distracting. The contents of the screen or constantly changing and it seems to regularly be using facial recognition to see if you are looking at it. I would say it’s worse than an echo show.

Yeah, you only get that “standby” benefit if you have a Pro model. Otherwise, keep tapping on your screen.

Being on a zoom call and having to scratch an itch and suddenly your background changes colors or something floats across the screen. 💀

I have no intention of buying Apples Vision Pro. Last year I wanted to try out VR do I bought a Quest 2. I’ve only used it for 15 minutes and I found VR wasn’t for me. Not it’s in its box and sitting in the back of my closet. Apple doesn’t need to change things to only one way, we should be given the choice whether we want to stay with the old interface or use the new one. I regret updating my Apple Watch. I hate the new interface, but because Apple doesn’t let you go back, I’m stuck. Would it be so difficult to allow for greater customization and let us set up the watch like it used to be. Is that so hard Apple!

It would be fun to have a an animated pet like a Tamagotchi living on the phone screen or on the watch screen. Something you can touch and interact with.

Standby mode is so muh don’t show your notifications when it’s sideways and the widgets are only Apple apps that are mostly doubled up to make it look like you have options it’s a big disappointment and now as great as it sounds

Video and commentary keep getting better and better, a lot of the observations here are really novel. I never would’ve thought of some of the things she articulated. Very well done! AAPL design language roadmap is 5-10 years ahead of things that are often planted right in front of us but we fail to pay attention. Great job on this video!

Standby mode has finally made it so that I can finally get rid of my travel alarm clock. I know I could have used a phone much earlier as an alarm clock, but trying to find your phone a bedside table in hotel room to figure out what time it is was too much trouble until now.

I’d like to be able to get directions to a destination but tell it exactly when to start directing me. This would be useful if I know how to get 80% of the way there but just need to be directed for the last couple miles

Jobs would be proud to know that after all these years iOS finally does what the iHome alarm clocks have done for over a decade.😂
