She is not 100% accurate. Physical media is actually making a comeback. I’m glad I kept all of mine that I own. Own nothing, and you will be owned by these streaming services people. I have never heard of most of these products anyway. And I do not feel as though I am missing out on much.

Should be noted the AppleWatch Blood O2 sensor is only disabled in the United States due to the court case with Masimo. If you buy an Apple Watch anywhere else in the world it still has a fully functional Blood 02 sensor.

Um, CD’s are still alive and kicking. Bandcamp, Discogs and Amazon are clear proof of this.
Also, this host’s delivery is annoying AF.

Funny thing about Car-thing becoming discontinued: Owners are modding them back into functionality, and are able to do so even after the end-of-live date.

cancelling chromecast was an egregious move from Google; smart TVs quickly lose software updates so the Chromecast kept you updated

Who needs to rip CDs anymore? I do. I literally just got a CD drive this Christmas (yesterday). I used it to rip my CDs that I got at Goodwill and can’t find anywhere online. I then uploaded one of albums to YouTube so that others can hear them, too.

Did those two Ai assistant hardware thingies that released early this year die already? The worst one was the one that required a monthly subscription on top of everything else. lmao

If Bridget Carey ever decides to do standup, I will drive however far I need to attend. She made me choke with her totally deadpan “Apply Pay Later became Apple Pay Right Away”

I hate that just about every tech item is obsolete in a year or two. I don’t get updates to the latest iPad o/s on one of mine, and my iPad Air won’t be able to use the Apple AI because it doesn’t have an M cpu. Of course pc’s are obsolete a year after you buy one. Some phones get updates for quite some time, but they are still old hat in a short time. I’m just trying to keep my old iPod Touch 2nd gen that’s almost two decades old going because I love a game app that’s not available anymore. The battery doesn’t last long anymore, but usually long enough for me. Ahhhh…the good old days when you bought a game or app and you owned it, and didn’t have to keep sinking more more money to pay to play, or get extra features in an app. I’m tired of software subscriptions also.

Just this morning I was looking at my Facebook memories, six years ago my mother bought me a Fossil Explorist Q watch, I’m vision impaired so I needed to use the screen reader function on the watch to use it properly. Imagine my anger and frustration when I discovered that Google TalkBack, at the time, only officially worked on a very small number of WearOS devices, the Explorist Q was NOT one of them. I was so disappointed. I did wonder whether Apple had released a version of the TV app for Windows. I’ve just downloaded the Apple Devices and Apple Music apps for Windows as I am an iPhone user.
