Haha so in the end so all these power, control, spin rackets, beam width, strings, balance points, weight, led tape, grip sizes, etc etc don’t matter at all. You really just need to learn the proper technique. Brilliant! I’ll just pick the prettiest racket that matches my outfit then 😂😂😂

Tennis elbow is lateral epicondylitis and prob more likely to be aggravated by Continental or eastern grips. Today’s cranked over western grip more like to affect the medial aspect of elbow (which is known as golfer elbow).

  33. @squidink123

    June 24, 2026 at 1:30 pm

interesting that fritz doesn’t like coaching in tennis. I feel like that’s a very unpopular opinion, because almost every sport (even most individual sports) allow coaching. boxing, gymnastics, golf, etc all allow coaching during or in between rounds. i don’t see a compelling argument for the opposite

  34. @bigams1

    June 24, 2026 at 1:40 pm

  35. @tommyselikhov

  36. @pampoovey9

    June 24, 2026 at 2:01 pm

I love Taylor but he is far too diplomatic for this format. You shoulda got spenny and brought in Joker or McEnroe, then we would have been properly entertained.

    June 25, 2026 at 5:08 am

Sabalenka recently employed the tactic of losing a set 0-6 to mess with her opponent’s head, but unfortunately for her she did it in the deciding sets 😀

  52. @cyanlama2163

    June 25, 2026 at 5:27 am

I cant repeat it more often:
As a teenager, you should not have the generational talents as role models, you need that hard workers and nerds!
Fritz is is where he is because he never stopped learning and trying. He is not a god given physical beast or something.
I was listening to Daniel Evans in a podcast and the way he talked about the mental part was impressive.
Sincaraz will teach you sheet. All the could say is “never give up” because stuff just happens to them

I have 500 mil on you winning wimbledon man you better pull it out

  57. @jonfreeman9682

    June 25, 2026 at 8:15 am

Come on Taylor Fritz. A Grand Slam is within reach. You can do it. Just need to add drop shots as you almost never use them and need more tactical point construction and wide angle shots. Then you got this and can hang with Super Sinner and Carlos. You can win Wimbledon.

Do you string your racquet with a FULL BED of whatever you’re using, or do you use different strings for the CROSS STRINGS or the MAIN STRINGS? Cheers.

  65. @TommyDavidVerbal

    June 25, 2026 at 1:48 pm

IMO grunting helps because it means your breathing exhaling when hitting the ball.

    June 25, 2026 at 4:37 pm

I hope Taylor knows how much we value his interviews! He’s consistently the most insightful atp player and one of the few ones willing to nerd out about tennis and talk about things beyond surface level. We appreciate you a lot and just so you know, if you ever decide to start a pod you’ll have a listener in me for life ❤️

      June 25, 2026 at 8:08 pm

I’ve never heard of him, because it’s been a while since I’ve watched tennis. The last time I watched tennis was when Nadal, Federer or Murray were playing.

  75. @servantofgodcheng8953

    June 25, 2026 at 8:34 pm

The best video i watched about the technical side of the game. Thanks

p.s. His separation with Morgan Riddle is a loss for both of them. And Olivia Jade is not bad

  83. @adamfalgout6601

    June 26, 2026 at 11:35 am

I use a 18×20 string pattern also, I have hybrid strings. Wasabi mains at 53lbs and Wasabi-X crosses at 55lbs. The reason my crosses are tighter, is because it’s a much much softer string than the mains, so it balances them out. I love the way it plays and feels, I may even do a 3lbs differential to test.

  84. @Vajra1021

    June 26, 2026 at 11:39 am

Frizz should team up with Andy Rodicck on the podcast

  85. @Kombo-Chapfika

    June 26, 2026 at 12:55 pm

Regarding lefties: there’s an asymmetry in the scoring, all ad points are served into the ad court. That ad side cross court favours lefties as that’s the eighties backhand side and their forehand. 2c

  86. @gio_i22

    June 26, 2026 at 2:12 pm

he’s so perfect for this content!! always taking the time to explain things clearly 🙂

  95. @trentchaffee5185

    June 27, 2026 at 2:29 am

That was a solid Q & A. Thank you. Respect to Taylor Fritz and good luck with the rest of the grass swing.

  96. @Bejman13

    June 27, 2026 at 9:10 am

It’s interesting because I find grunting really does help my game. It’s an exhale and release of tension right before the shot that I believe relaxes me and allows me to be more fluid. Who actually knows if it helps but I think it does

  97. @Tennisace40-s4c

    June 27, 2026 at 9:23 am

I go to Fritz for stringing advice? I think not. But he’s seems to be a chill guy.

  98. @marikal9683

  100. @SondersMelody

    June 27, 2026 at 3:07 pm

Enjoyed his answers and sharing personal stories. Only question I think he missed was Tennis Elbow. Players get tennis elbow that have never played golf before.

Blame tsitsipas for coaching. He proved that coaching during match is unavoidable so they let it go and allow coaching

  106. @Windansea

    June 29, 2026 at 1:36 pm

What an excellent interview! Packed with insights! I’d like to hear what racquet he used for that golden set. And whether he considered switching after that unintended situation.
