Why can’t a cancer cure be found IN Gravity?

“Fund space exploration and we’ll find a cure for cancer.” Is a crazy take.
Don’t get me wrong, I love most the space stuff we’ve done and are doing. But I can’t argue against the fact that the money used could have gone to something more immediately helpful and down to Earth.

The Vacuum of space won’t cool anything. In a Vacuum the heat being produced from an object has no where to go. Because there isn’t anything for that heat to transfer too. So a data center will just get hotter and hotter if left in a Vacuum without a way to radiate the heat away from the electronics.
Data centers in space is a really dumb idea, and an even larger waste of money.

I often tell people that if we want to see our companies value humanity as a whole, we collectively need to invest into our companies so that we have a say in how they act. We need to shift ourselves from being a consumer economy to being an investor economy. Only then can we collectively steer our companies into doing what is good for humanity.

@ThomasGrand89 So we have billionaires that use our money for their own purposes aka Elon Musky, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and of course, Google. I don’t think there use some money aligns with the rest of the country.

@richardoake2304 if you spend your money to purchase goods through Amazon, they will use your money, as well. The difference is when you are an investor, you literally get a vote.
