What are your thoughts on xenotransplants? Would you get a pig organ if you needed a transplant?

Pigs are WAY MORE than food/parts to harvest…they cry from sadness and can die from depression. She shows more emotions to me than most humans.

As the human population grows the need for transplants will far outpace the supply more than it currently does. We have a duty to those on the transplant lists to research and develop these technologies so no one dies waiting for a transplant that will never come.

We are all animals; whether we accept it or not. We are no better than pigs, we are just more intelligent and more aware.

Most people will not even know that they have a pig’s organ if they weren’t told…

People in need of organs can be on the waiting list for YEARS. If a pig organ can expedite the process and it’s not rejected by the body then by all means

@Metaforically Speaking What is the Islamic law in Islam regarding the transfer of internal animal organs to humans? I know the Muslim Pakistanis who make it, but isn’t the pig haram and the excrement is mughallazah (courtship)?

Darn it if only we can figure out how to save the lives of 60 thousands of people that die every year because of the greed of health care corporations and big farma. Like the young men and women who die because they can’t afford insulin. Something that doesn’t even happen in third world countries. This category of death only exists in united states among the industrialized countries.

Pfffft. A pig’s life is more valuable than some old geezer already on death’s door. Look at that bag of bones. He already looks like one of the zombies on the walking dead. When I get that old and sickly, I’m gonna die with dignity via MAID (medical assistance in dying) here in my home country of Canada. When are humans gonna learn? It’s the QUALITY of a person’s life that matters! Not the QUANTITY! Even with a transplant, Hector Salamanca here can only survive 5 more years AT BEST (smh). Modern medicine has gotten good at PROLONGING life, but it still sucks at improving the health and quality of life of the very ill. This isn’t a miracle. We’re just watching a dying man get put on more life support because he’s too afraid to let go. Smh. Again, I feel more sorry for the young pig who died so this walking corpse could live maybe another 2 years in some deathwatch facility with nurses changing his soiled diapers and urine soaked bedsheets, and spoon feeding him apple sauce…………..this is a terrible way to live (or rather, to die) in the twilight of your life.

And I expect the man will carry on with his heart disease causing animal based diet, so the cycle of cruelty & abuse continues. First in eating animals, then in using animals for a ‘cure’, whether it’s a Pigs Heart or Diabetes, Blood pressure, hypertension meds. That involves horrendous torture of animals in Vivisection Labs. ✊🏽🌻🌎

This is crazy not a scientific achievement. God condemns such things. God gave us and want our human hearts to be given to him. If someone’s time has been to him to die, why the human is so foolish to try to be the givers of life? Oh foolish human with foolish paths full of deceit!
