FYI: The S23 Ultra is getting Galaxy AI before the end of Q1-2024. And Galaxy AI will only be free until the end of 2025 according to Samsung. S23 Ultra is the phone to have, because the real upgrade to the S24 is the CPU and the change in Camera. Its the same phone otherwise!! The software will transfer over to the S23 line, and a few others, within a month or two.

    • @whodisnewphone

      January 18, 2024 at 9:17 pm

      CORRECTION:

1st. The S 23 Ultra does in fact run on Android 14. The first phone (behind the pixel) to get that android version and has had it since last october.
2nd. The IPHONE 15 PRO MAX has 8 GIgs of Ram on all models (128/256/etc)
3rd. The S 23 and 24 have face ID also they both work at the same time. (in case you have sunglasses on Fingerprint, if not face ID. its really great)
      Also worthy to note:

The AI features the S24 is receiving as a “System app” (when released with OneUI 6.1) can be used right now as a downloadable app (for galaxy devices only) called Galaxy Enhance-X . That is available on the galaxy store now.

This app Samsung just released is the AI app that will be baked into OneUI 6.1

I will say its quite amazing. You should take it for a spin.

      The end

    • @sharkfintech5893

      January 18, 2024 at 7:38 pm

Congrats, I think you’ll love it ! 👌🏻 Samsung & Pixel phones are my favorites.
The freedom of Android (customizability of UI and open-source OS, plus so much more), combined with Samsung value-adds like the S-pen & wireless DeX, as well as the new A.I. features should all add up to a WIN for U 🏆
I “graduated” from iPhones in late 2015, and really haven’t looked back. Their chips & video-stabilization are top-notch (no pun intended 😅), but the UI is underwhelming (arguably boring), the “gated” OS is limiting & annoying (esp given how many for-pay 💰 apps exist in the App Store), and Apple is clearly behind the 8-ball with A.I., & with offering alternative form factors like flippable and foldable phones. 📱

I am a Samsung Knight. However in terms of upgrade It’s an incremental upgrade . Better AOD, Flat screen , 2600 nits, snapdragon gen 3. As an owner of the s23 Ultra, I’ll wait for the z fold 6 and hope they use the best prototype designs and give it 100% to be as good or better than the Huawei mate x5 and Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche edition as first large foldable w integrated s pen. This upgrade is only for those who have the s22 or s21 or older , if you have the s23 ultra I recommend waiting one more year.

With that being said android offers more value like multi tasking , stylus pen w gestures, foldable innovation, advanced emulation no limitations etc. This is exactly why Samsung, Google, Huawei and Xiaomi , One plus and Red Magic and the entire android family will always be lightyears ahead of ios and why I will never return my main sim to ios ever again.
