Nah, i don’t dig on the S22U if that will be the final design. Besides, im so happy with my S21U that i’ll be going to stick with it at least one more year.

I still have the s10 and it feels brand new, I’ve had it since day one of its launch lol. I prolly won’t upgrade phones for a few more years tbh.

@nightswell I have an S8 and works great but a few weeks ago the screen cracked so now I’m looking for a new one and I don’t like any of the new phones…

I have S7 and the battery and storage capacity is getting full pretty fast with nowadays applications

      January 12, 2022 at 9:39 pm

@wally19 Same here. In a perfect world I would live with the S9 for rest of my life if I could.

    • nightswell

      January 12, 2022 at 9:40 pm

@Gustavo Gustavo Personally, I think it’s the updating of the apps that kill the phone overtime.

    • wally19

      January 12, 2022 at 9:47 pm

@Gustavo Gustavo But you could use a micro-sd card If you need storage.
There are new models without sd card slot or even wireless charge.

Wow Samsung is so smart. “Note 22 Ultra is the same as the note 20 Ultra with little added features”. Thatll be $1300 please.

So glad they kept the regular S21 design on the S22. Samsung struck gold with that design

Since they are dumping note series they should just name it Galaxy 1, starting a new era of combination of both the models

Since no one’s going to say it. I’ll just come out and say it, you need to fix your audio. The mix is just terrible, come on CNET you have 3.32 million subs you can afford a decent audio mixer / microphone.

  12. S_Jimenez

    January 12, 2022 at 9:09 pm

If this is true what’s up with Samsung snubbing the non Ultra models of a QHD+ screen now? This is a no (for me at least). Especially if they do it on the S22+

I would certainly get S22 ultra if it has the S21 ultra shape rather than note boxy shape and if it is a flat display. What a shame it isn’t..

  31. Emptrix

Based off gsmarena and some other leaks, the Telephoto Cameras seems to have been downgraded in terms of sensor size compared to the S21 Ultra. The sensor is smaller on the S22 Ultra. Seems like it might end up disappointing some users.

  47. Note20 Ultra

    January 13, 2022 at 8:34 pm

It needs SD card, get rid of round edges, make it wider, taller, and thicker for a big battery. Note should have 7000Mah battery and faster charging. Also Samsung, fix ur mics, note mic is awful on calls no one can hear me if i move the phone 2 inches away from me, even on speakerphone.

Right now there’s really no big motivation to change to s22. 5000mah battery 🥱🥱🥱🥱 No MST no SD card, smaller screen, you’re going backwards.

The pen doesn’t matter for writing when the phone needs to be wider, learn from Huawei mate 20x

  55. Hunter Cucchiaro

    January 14, 2022 at 11:24 am

I’d definitely go for the S22 Ultra but the only thing putting me off from it is it’s boxy design. I’m absolutely loving the design of the regular s22 and if it had that design instead, I’d definitely go for it. I might just go for the S22 pro instead. Currently have the Galaxy S8 and after 4 years, it’s time for an upgrade. Battery is draining quicker than I can blink.

I hope Samsung can make better product line for their upcoming S22 line up and in their future S series line up since they will integrate the Note series in their S series. I hope they would have 4 models of S22 or future S series, which the 1st two is the standard model and the other two is the pro/note model with build in S-pen. For the standard model without the S-pen, the 1st model should have a flat display to cater for the people who likes flat display more, and the other model should have a curve display to cater for the people who likes curve display more. Similarly, for the pro/note model with build in S-pen, the 1st model should have a flat display, and the other model should have a curve display. A possible naming of the 4 models I can see or think of is S2x (flat display) and S2x+ (curve display) for the standard version, and S2x Pro/Note (flat display) and S2x Pro+/Note+ (curve display) for the pro/note version with build in S-pen. This line up of 4 models of their S series will make more sense and can compete with the 4 models of Apple iPhone which also has 2 standard version and 2 pro versions.

I definitely welcome improvements to the S-Pen, I really hope they can increase the diameter, thickness of the pen to be closer to the full size external S-Pen as personally I find the internal S-Pen too thin to be comfortable.
