The Galaxy S22 is the smallest and cheapest phone in Samsung’s new lineup. It can feel a bit cramped if you’re used to big-screened devices, but those who prefer smaller phones will feel right at home. Just be warned that the decrease in size also means shorter battery life.

I pre-order S22 in green color. Spending on this 897$. But, together with phone I have galaxy buds pro in gift. How do you think? It’s normal cost for this?

Yeap, normal cost.. pretty good considering you also got the buds pro. Also, good choice of colour for your S22. You’ll love your new phone man.

I just got to see the S22 at Best Buy. It does feel like a small phone. A little smaller then my iPhone XR with a case on. I preordered the S22 plus for the bigger screen. The S22 plus feels like the perfect size and is only a little larger the my XR with a case on. The S22 Ultra is just enormous.

I have the 22+. I like it. I’m upgrading from an s10+ and it has been an adjustment(no headphone jack and lower res). I really like the screen refresh rate and speed. The edges are also really nice in my hand. Hope you enjoy your new phone 🙂

    Is it really that small

I definitely prefer a screen size closer to 6″, at that point it still fits in my pocket, isnt a crazy priced foldable, and is still very capable

Awsome! Thanks for the review. Was undecided between the iphone mini and the S22. The compact size of the S22 with all the great features such as longer battery life, finger print authentication and better cameras makes it a great choice. Thanks again.

I do like the 6.1 display then the bigger ones it’s good that most of you guys review the camera but I don’t see a lot about video pictures and video would be my main usage but it seems to be a nice looking camera.

I’m watching this on my Green s22 and I have to say it’s the most refined phone Samsung has ever made. There’s not a single component I find myself wishing was more high end. And yes the battery life is perfectly fine

I don’t think the comparison to the S21FE is the best or fairest one since the S21FE is to be considered a high mid range phone not a full flagship which the S22 is, the best comparison would have been to the regular S21 since this is the direct successor, but hey I am not the expert…

Thank you for doing a review on the smaller phone. I have tiny hands and I find any phone over 6 inches too cumbersome. The smaller s22 has been neglected by most YouTubers. Yet I think it will sell the most units.

I’ve had my s22 for a little over a day now and I’m loving it! I’m coming from a Galaxy s10e which was an absolute champ. The 120hz display is wonderful, (first time I’ve used one on a phone). A feature not enough people are talking about is the in-display ultrasonic figure-print sensor. It is absolutely fantastic. The s10e had a finger-print sensor on the side which was really good and I was excited, but nervous about the in-display one, and it has exceeded my expectations. The 4 years of updates & 5 years of security will be great for me considering I’ll be starting college in the fall, and a fresh start will be nice. Also even though I’ll have a case on my phone, the s22 design is just beautiful in-person.

Also switched from the s10e to the s22 today. Tried using the iPhone 11 and Pixel 6 for a week and a couple of months, respectively. Returned them both and went back to my s10e

Good to be back to a Samsung device.
The in-display fingerprint sensor is definitely way faster on the S22 than on the bulky Pixel 6, which was so frustrating to me. However, I do miss the ability to pull down my notification bar from a simple slide down on the fingerprint scanner on the side of the s10e

On the Pixel 6, I had set the double-tap function to automatically bring down the notification bar, which only worked half the time. Another one of my many disappointments with the Pixel 6.

On S22 though, apparently the Tap, Tap app doesn’t seem to have the option of setting double tap for notification bar sliding. I do find the screen a bit big to be dragging my thumb up for it every time. Not a big deal, overall, but when you’ve had the ease of sliding from the side to do just that on the s10e, other options seem less appealing.

For me, coming from an S9+, the omission of expandable memory is a bummer.

S21 fe or s22? Its really hard to choose considering both of them are giving 4yrs of OS updates and 5yrs of security updates…..

Watching on my green colour S22 🔥 absolutely love it, yes even with the Exynos CPU which in my opinion is not bad as made out to be, I have an S22 Ultra with the Snapdragon CPU, from gaming to other tasks both are equally as good for everyday normal people, the Snapdragon does run a little hotter from my testing, the Exynos has better sustained performance whereas the Snapdragon has raw power going for it. Battery could be better on my S22 but even that it’s not bad as made out to be, it’s not amazing nor is it bad, it’s just decent.

Samsung ran out of the great ideas after the Galaxy fold 2. There is nothing on the market that even come close to fold device. I am proud of a the fold 2 and I approve this message.

I’m watching on my phantom black S22 which I received on 2-22-22. I have an S21ultra, and really like the much smaller size of the 22 “mini”.

Why are you comparing them to the S21 FE , instead of the ones it is relpacing, the S21, S21+, S21 Ultra? That doesn’t even make sense 👎 . I’m out 👋

I don’t think that 6.1inch are small. The best phone size has still the iPhone X/XS/11Pro LineUp. Further phones are too big

    Still using my s9+.
I want a smaller phone, the s9+ is a bit too big and has too little storage for me.
Is the upgrade from the s9+ to s22 worth it?

The feel in hand is much nicer, its not a small phone and its hard to think anyone misses out from the slightly smaller screen unless you are “on” your phone half your life.
Battery no biggie for 90% of users has wireless charging and so what if you need to top it up once a day, such an inconvenience.
The big deal is the beautiful screen, 120hz and clean UI thats very customisable and 4 years of updates.
Very nice colours I think the design tops the iPhone, feels better in hand, might be the first time I have felt that. (ugly notch and lightning just put me off iPhone).

I’ve always been an iPhone user but I can’t deny how incredible the S22 looks and performs in person. It really makes the iPhone 13 feel a little stale by comparison.

  47. HALWG51

    February 28, 2022 at 12:31 am

Definitely good that that are making a “smaller” phone. My wife has the Samsung S10e and she likes that smaller size. Even though the S22 has a larger screen, the overall size won’t be too large for her.

I have the regular S22 and it’s a near perfect phone. It’s fast. feels perfect in the hand because of the subtle curve on the frame. My favorite Android phone. Best Galaxy phone ever. battery life is enough for me but I would be considered a light user.
