Announcing PS Home 2 with eye tracking would be a killer app.

I’d bet they won’t make enough money to justify the costs unless they give it PC support.

Yeah Scott, you can tell apple where you at?… I am sooo going buying a PS5 for this,🤪

Hopefully in the future we could get a wireless adapter, because all the VR industry is moving in that direction

I hope that they may use the PlayStation camera as extra tracking too. I got it for my PlayStation VR. It would be nice to have some more use out of the PS5 camera.

The PSVR 2 has 4 for more advanced cameras in comparison to the PlayStation 5 camera already built into it

    • Patrick Adams

      September 14, 2022 at 11:08 pm

@Bamban_ Garcia but using outside tracking in combination with the inside out tracking could possibly increase tracking. Not only that but could provide other data metrics for the system. I like the original oculus tracking better the the new one. So why not like the valve index and use both? Not saying the camera is as good as the sensors with the valve index.

      September 14, 2022 at 11:19 pm

@Patrick Adams PSVR 2.0 is already built entirely around the 4 cameras to give an overall better experience that said external camera would not help much due to the way its designed, I can see the PlayStation 5 camera having similar uses for the original PSVR as a workaround if the upcoming headset has backwards compatible issues

    • Patrick Adams

      September 14, 2022 at 11:52 pm

@Bamban_ Garcia Besides using it as a webcam the camera doesn’t have much use as people would definitely (if they can get their hands on the product and not scalped) be moving on to the PSVR 2.0. The only reason I am getting the PS5 camera is for my PSVR (yes I know about the adapter). It would be nice to have more usage for it. It will be like my Kinect if nothing is done (excluding the 3d scanner). Maybe I can become a camera that is useful.

We got flying cars now, and we still gotta deal with wired headsets?…

Cool gadget..like the first..5 min for unboxing, five for gaming …and and eternity on a shelf to take the dust..

No review I have seen mentions FPS?? What kind of FPS were you getting in these games?? If it’s under 60 I probably won’t purchase it

    • Solid_Justice

      September 15, 2022 at 12:34 am

Vr games need atleast 60fps, Sony forced that on devs even on psvr 1. I believe i heard someone say 1 of the 4 games they tested was 60fps and the other 3 where 90fps

If you haven’t played Half Life Alyx on a Quest 2 then you have not experienced a true VR. I really hope Valve comes out with their Standalone headset.

  14. Frederick Kruger

I imagine this will be around $500 and VR just isn’t worth that much to me.

I hope they make a wireless adapter

  16. Jay Jackson

thats cool..loved the psvr 1 to get my started in vr….but…seeing this…and then comparing it to the new meta pro…..psvr2 is already behind /sigh….not good

  17. Astronomyphilly

    September 14, 2022 at 11:23 pm

Half Life Alyx and can or will he utilised as a giant screen for everything else media etc

    • Solid_Justice

      September 15, 2022 at 12:49 am

Yes you can use it as a big screen

Last time PlayStation released a VR headset, VR got its first legitimate boost in popularity and sales and experiences. no one gives Sony the credit of selling 5 million headsets LONG before ANYONE did. I hope this buries Meta-facebook.

    Very insightful review 🤗

  21. Lazer Kellinski

    September 15, 2022 at 12:22 am

I’m really excited for this but for me I need real full games, not just little tiny experiences and promo demonstrations. I’ll wait a while after it launches and see what FULL games come out.

  22. Digital Odyssey

    September 15, 2022 at 12:25 am

Really hope Half-Life Alyx makes its way to PSVR2…make it happen Valve.

  23. Maulik Sharma

    September 15, 2022 at 12:47 am

Did Sony say anything about backwards compatibility with psvr 1 games?

  24. Mike Smith

    September 15, 2022 at 12:55 am

Future of VR is not having to be plugged in with a cord. I’ll still take my Q2 over better visuals and not having to be plugged in

3 things I like….The eye tracking the pass through option and no camera required…Sign me up.
