It’s a little criminal how much you left out about the backwards compatibility in this video – I recommend every go and watch Digital Foundry’s video on it.

TL:DR – it’s got some GREAT results, and a lot of games benefit greatly from the PS5s CPU and GPU – a fact that is completely absent from this review.

Can someone explain the ps5 1440p support issue, I mean, ¿why can’t it do 1440p if it can do 4k?¿Or was the whole 1440p thing a fake rumor or something?

  14. TheLordstrider

    November 7, 2020 at 12:10 am

Sony: loading times are a thing of the past.
    This video: loading times.
Bonus: loading times longer than ps4 pro.

  34. Dragon Source

    November 7, 2020 at 4:07 pm

What I’m hearing is bigger console, slightly faster/slower loading times, very confusing back compat, very confusing menus, very confusing game saves, etc.

But the controller is decent but not great. Has very immersive rumble but has a smaller cheaper looking PS button, and I’d be willing to bet it dies almost just as fast as the DS4 which was unacceptable.

I’ll get a PS5 one day but I’m happy I went with Series X that has the PS5 beat in these instances mentioned above.

“this video not meant to be xbox series x comparison” and yet it is full of that xbox crap 😀 Keep that crap out of the ps5 videos. Also, maybe a better camera in place?

  68. Idk_Outcast_

    November 8, 2020 at 9:39 pm

What I’m getting from this is there are a few unnecessary nitpicks that wont do much and you get used to and love easily or some stuff that they have got slightly wrong as it’s a first time feature for sony that they can fix later, like the cards, meaning there isnt really enough wrong to disregard it completely without a second thought, it’s supposed to feel new and different so I’m giving it a chance, like everyone getting it should

    November 9, 2020 at 2:54 pm

Idk if anyone can answer this.

I have disc versions of ps4 games and have their data stored in an external hdd. Now if i were to plug said external hdd unto a ps5 would i still be able to play those games (obviously with the disc in the ps5) withoud affecting the PS5’s internal storage?

    I hope that makes sense.

  88. Trials

    November 9, 2020 at 3:18 pm

Is it a smart idea to get Persona 5 Royal for the PS4 to play it on the PS5? I don’t have a PS4 — but the price tag being lowered for the disc would make sense, no? Let me know for any ideas aswell

  89. Stuart McCallum

    November 9, 2020 at 3:19 pm

I currently have my PS4 games library distributed across two external HDDs. Although I can plug both of them in at the same time, not all the content is accessible unless you tell the PS4 to switch between drives. Do you know if Sony have fixed this issue and also is it possible to use a USB hub?

  90. Ben Clow

Does anyone know of any sites where a person can win a ps5. Covid almost killed me in July and been in and out of hospitals since. Therefore, I haven’t been able to work. I’ve tried saving what I could but can’t even find a place that will have one to sell. Can anyone give some ideas? Ty. Message me for my number and I’ll send you pics so you know I’m not making stuff up. Ty and God bless

So you’re saying that we should put all of our PS4 games and download (game save data) info on to a portable SSD to plug into the PS5? That would be the solution for digital, correct? If a disk then I assume you would just download the game save data? so many questions …

Why would anyone buy either this year? There’s literally ZERO system sellers out there. Just wait—and extra especially wait for PS5 to allow external HDDs. 600gb of free space is basically cod + acv.
