The comments here make me wonder if he has an army of bots trying to swing his stock. Never heard of the guy or his company ever before, maybe he does have a good product but any rational enthusiast of ai can tell you a corperate model that relies on the investors demands for progress should be a huge red flag for ai development. Not saying hes a fraudster, and I do love me some AI, but every public company should get a collar at this point.

Take a few minutes and read about this company’s history. Also, this guy is co-founder of the company.

@Carl I would if I was interested in investing. Just feel there’s a lot of “been doing this for x years” folk crop up in the field, and while I’d lean liberally with tech companies most of the time I personally would rather stick money in the hardware thag enables all these companies to even get revenue, the old pickaxe vs prospecting addatge

I heard about them two years ago. He is 1 of 5 founders. Np if you don’t care to buy the stock, do as you wish. Enjoy

      Can you elaborate?

    • The Indefinite Man

      June 1, 2023 at 6:29 pm

@dvijay461 Sure. In short, combat operations are far too chaotic to be modeled in any real way with any meaningful predictions. Maybe larger strategic decisions, absolutely not at the boots on the ground level. He is the expert making things up – he is gaslighting lol.

Lol, it appears most of the Bloomberg commentary warriors, without making an effort to understand his line of thought or researching the company history, clients, products and most importantly, cash flow , labelling him as fraud. Lol. 😂 Karp is genius and contrarian. People are talking about AI now, this company has been AI company for 20 years.

    completely reasonable

to say otherwise, is saying we should sell beer, drugs, chemicals, guns, etc to just anyone who has the money for and wants it.

If your answer is, oh hey wait a minute, mayhe we should vet them first or have some kind of criteria before we sell, then you have a potential cause to also not sell a product just bc someone wants it.

a bit of logical thinking can go a long ways

Why ain’t we talking about the execs Dumping millions of shares throughout the years. In the most recent bull run, they dumped once again…Karp himself sold so much I lost count, it’s kinda terrifying. You’d expect a CEO to hold shares for another decade or so for the stakeholders…. you can verify the SEC filings.

There are 3 classes of shares, A , B, and C. C is largely controlling shares which Thiel and Karp own the majority, so they can dump A unto the market …

The “data” Karp is talking about is not his. It was surrepticiously taken (stolen) from individuals without their prior knowledge or consent. Realise the motive for his extraordinary self-belief is profit and power. Consider the harms that need confronting. The most dangerous people on earth are right-wing Conservatives who have no anchor to truth or real justice (e.g. Trump & Johnson), but Karp will supply all if they are in power. And as he himself said *today* that would be a big problem for everyone.

Palantir employee (Chmieliauskas) re scrapping data from Facebook for Cambridge Analytica says “his bosses knew what he was up to and in fact encouraged him to pursue buisness that was ethically dubious”. – Yes if you won’t pay, Karp & Theil know others that will, and lie about who they are.

    • @chrisallen241

      October 29, 2023 at 9:36 pm

“Yes Palantir did indeed partner with Cambridge Analytica (and worse!) and totally got away with lying to the press and public about it” – Prof David Carroll (The Great Hack).
