Important reporting regarding how systemic implicit biases can be hard-coded as ‘fact’ into automated decision-making. Similarly to how automated soap 🧼 dispensers and sinks perform much worse for those with melanated hands, it’ll take a concerted effort to ensure a wider-range of perspectives and lived experiences are at the helm of the q/a process.
