I feel like they could keep the way they are looking right now to make the series. Live actions don’t have to be extremaly close to the characters desing, sometimes close is enough. The Zoro one could just mess his hair and Sanji let the hair grow a little. That’s it.

One piece is so precious to so many of us, I’m a fan of 17+ years, so I’m apprehensive of the adaptation but it’s reassuring to see that they’ve done their research and they clearly love the story. And it’s cute to see the stuff they don’t know (except the zoro actor who clearly has read all of the manga) like the god Usopp question and jimbei being part of the crew and Sanji’s rules. I really hope they nail the adaptation

The “Yamato question” has already been answered by Oda-sensei in the Vivre Card databook released a few years ago.
Yamato is female. To use a real-world example, she is in-character cosplaying. Kaido likely uses the male pronouns to mock Yamato.

So far I believe it is great casting and i love Iñaki being able to represent the latinoamerican community by interpreting the main character for the world’s most successful anime and manga I am rooting for this series and for the cast <3 love OP, love them <3

zoro v sanji argument is so stupid. Zoro’s main role and what he trained for his whole life is being swordsman/fighter. Sanji spent his time training how to cook. Besides, Zoro uses 3 swords on top of his own strength, sanji refuse to use his hands and has no weapons. its apples and oranges. Its like asking what is better, all you can eat buffet or single 100$ steak
