I built my first one a year ago and its really fun to do. Probably the most time consuming part of the build is managing cable.

@Spy you’ll get no argument from me there but at least you can upgrade it without having to crawl back to Dell, HP, etc.

Honestly this kinda defeats the purpose of building a computer. Half the fun is hunting down the parts yourself… 🤔

Not for the majority, who is the market they want to market to. The option to buy everything on your own is still there for the enthusiasts.

One warranty for all parts. Instructions for beginners. Newbies don’t have to research parts and figure out which is compatible to each other. It’s slightly cheaper than a pre-built, which is sadly one of the more reliable way to get your hand on a PC with a GPU without paying scalpers prices.

    • Jose F

      October 22, 2021 at 8:10 pm

i got an h710 and i would agree. though before I had my cpu AIO pushing air out, and I switched it to intake fresh air and it runs about 10 degrees cooler now. As for gpu, I have top and back fans pushing out and since it gets fresh air from the bottom, it works well where I don’t worry about temps anymore.

Maybe if u paid attention to the video

    • Wakko Warner

      October 22, 2021 at 1:32 pm

@Alex Wong I did, he doesn’t explain how to obtain a GPU short of paying up the wahoo to scalpers.. so no, building a gaming pc is not “easy” if you can’t even get the parts to begin with

    • GoodXyloPhone

      October 24, 2021 at 6:14 am

@Wakko Warner it’s a video about NZXT selling you the whole package of PC including the GPU. It’s not getting the parts individually. It’s cool because they’re offering essentially a pre-built but not pre-built at the same time. They just ship you the parts with instructions so you can have the joy of building it yourself.

  22. Timmy Joe PC Tech

    October 21, 2021 at 2:33 am

This is a really stupid idea IMHO, I get it, some people want the can’t fk it up experience of building their own PC but you’re literally paying the same price as a prebuilt but you have to do all the work and probably pay more for shipping. The whole point of building your own PC is getting your hands dirty, learning how to configure things. Doesn’t matter, there won’t be stock on it anyways.

      October 22, 2021 at 4:13 pm

Wow, what an uninformed, arrogant take. Unbelievable. Having options in today’s market is always a good thing. Clearly you don’t agree. You tell me if you can find a 3060 Ti build anywhere else that comes with literally everything you need to put it together. If there wasn’t demand for this sorta thing, the product wouldn’t exist, so clearly people want this.

  23. DAHMER

    October 21, 2021 at 3:42 am

What a great way to fool somebody into thinking they know how to build a PC, but since they didn’t do any researching of components to understand what is compatible with what, or what isn’t, they’re still effectively completely ignorant of the intricacies of component selection, although they will have a false sense of ability. This kit doesn’t teach you anything about how to build a computer. This teaches you a very simplified assembly. Nothing more. Except the cost. You spent all your DIY savings and as someone already pointed out, you are doing the work yourself. And on a personal note – a 3060Ti…really….woo… lmao

P.S. – the “Quest” in the book – that would make cringe itself cringe. I bet its sponsored by the letter G or something too. Maybe Oscar can use the case as a new house once you toss this e-waste waiting to happen where it belongs.

I dont understand everyone hating on this. Im debating getting this as im sitting with a asus rog laptop with a 960m in it. When you had the build he had, and add it to the cart it comes down to 1400 dollars, that is super cheap compared to how much this would cost if you bought every part separate ignoring the cost of a 3060ti right now. In the end my friend recommended that the AIO was a little small so worst comes to worst buy a new case and cooler maybe some more fans and your good to go i would think. Any thoughts ?

    • Spy

      October 21, 2021 at 4:57 pm

I think it’s just the experienced builders that aren’t too happy about this. They don’t like the idea of that everything is there for you and you just need to assemble it opposed to actually finding the parts yourself and then assembling the PC. Yes you could buy a prebuilt for the same price but there is some people out there that are actually willing to get into PC Building and imo this is somewhat decent for those people, a few flaws here and there and there could be room for improvement but overall that’s pretty much it.

For all those in the comments who are hating on this bcuz of stupid reasons like “the fun is in hunting down the parts” or “why pay all that money to have to build it yourself when you can just get it prebuilt”, just don’t buy it. No one is forcing you to. But having options like this is a godsend especially in todays market if you want to get into building your own stuff but don’t want to worry about compatibility issues. You can’t possibly think having to install Windows is your idea of fun. I for one would have LOVED having something like this for my first build. Also for those wanting to get this, wait for NZXT to work out the kinks (surprise surprise it ain’t perfect) for their future iterations. It will truly be the most comprehensive experience then.

    • Spy

      October 22, 2021 at 7:30 pm

So should I wait until Christmas then?

    • Jose F

      October 22, 2021 at 8:13 pm

@Spy NZXT seems to have decen customer service, as he mentioned he was able to get his IO shield shipped overnight. Though who knows, maybe they’ll have more options in the future to customize it further.
