Everyone: Why do all phones look the same?

Also everyone: All it has going for it is it’s design

I’m all for this. I’m a big fan of OnePlus but they have for sure lost their way and Nothing seems to have that old OnePlus philosophy. Being a big fan of stock android, this is really interesting to me

  22. Dru Anubis

    July 12, 2022 at 11:57 pm

OnePlus sucks now! They should have kept the pop-up camera and curved screen!

It’s just the hypes that Carl made. Not a single thing about “nothing phone” is special. I repeat, it’s just the gimmicks that attracted you to the point of “thinking of buying”.

Midrange specs, iPhone wannabe design, stock Android and a bunch of LEDs. Might be a decent phone, but why are all tech YouTubers suddenly obsessed with this?

  34. Paul Valickas

I don’t know why, phone tech is no longer exciting… They do just the same basic things 🤣.. manufacturers should stop making phones every year just to contribute to global warming measures since phone components are part of global warming issues when being extracted

There’s a good reason that the Big 2 phone makers do not make clear devices. Once you’ve been using it for a bit dust and gunk will find it’s way in making the phone look undesirable, even with the IP rating. However it’s something I’m sure they are aware of. Which means that they are only doing clear devices for the introduction of the company and it’s philosophy.

I’ve bought little-known Chinese phones before and one thing that they seem to fall down on is the GPS signal strength. Have you tested this or, if not, noticed what the performance and accuracy is like in regards to GPS?

  54. Nick Cox

    July 14, 2022 at 12:02 pm

Love the look of this phone and at a great price point. But IP52 is so low. I’d much prefer a higher IP rating than some flashing lights.

  55. Ebubededraw

    July 14, 2022 at 1:17 pm

I think Nothing paid every YouTube reviewer for this. coz this is the first time I have seen reviewers say alot of positive things about a phone that offers nothing else..

    • Phoenix

      July 15, 2022 at 9:22 am

That, or maybe it’s just hype or “honeymoon phase” with tech reviewers. Not everything is a conspiracy. Look at the comments sections of reviewers, people are “hopeful” of something new in the market.

Not really europe global pricing is overpriced
At that price European people could buy Samsung s21 FE, pixel 6, Xiaomi 12 X, OnePlus 9, realme GT 2, etc…
Besides i doubt that SoC will take the best out of that camera , but let’s wait and see
