What is the fascination with watching someone else play a video game that you could be playing yourself?

If you don’t watch sports I can understand where your coming from, if not bruh. But yeah the financial incentives however feel disproportionate to actual engagement.

The PUBG esports channel just had a 6 week tournament for PUBG, and 4 guys walked away with 1.3 million. Again, this is playing a game for 6 weekends, and basically paid 5 guys as a professional team. Look up him, TGLTN. Americans even beat the asians in PUBG, nobody talks about the huge check and game at all. The PUBG eSports channel on youtube is like ESPN for PUBG, 2 announcers doing play calling as the game goes on in 3rd person views. It’s pretty interesting and big prizes imho. I used to go to lan parties where people won a few hundred in counter-strike, now they are making 7 figures a year in PUBG.
