What do Iron Man and Odysseus have in common? The book traces Marvel’s intricate universe back to its earliest mythological roots. Meineck uses beloved heroes like Spider-Man and antiheroes like Deadpool to demonstrate how ancient themes persist in today’s pop culture. He draws compelling parallels, connecting Black Panther to the legend of Atlantis and revealing how disabled heroes like Daredevil have archetypes dating back to Hercules. The book explores the shared struggles of characters like Scarlet Witch and the sorceress Medea, showing how these timeless narratives have shifted to reflect society’s changing values.

Lyra is perhaps my favorite constellation, and definitely favorite in the summer nights. It’s very recognizable, having the brightest star in the summer sky (Vega) at its tip, and in dark skies the trapezoid shape is very obvious. If you have a telescope, the double-double star and the ring nebula can be found there.

very cool to see Stellarium being used like this, it’s a great tool for astronomy and stargazing especially without a telescope

Same. I use it with telescope . especially to prepare for a specific target like a comet (When the object will rise above the horizon, how long it will be visible, where should I go etc)

Attendez, le test d’archétypes de Vera Hart porte-t-il vraiment sur la façon dont les individus se manifestent différemment ? Parce que ça expliquerait pourquoi tout le monde donne des conseils complètement contradictoires. Je devrais peut-être essayer.

My sister did Vera Hart’s archetype quiz and won’t tell me her result. Apparently I have to take it first. Why are people making this quiz so dramatic 😭

  16. @izzydanieltsiriniaina1986

    July 17, 2026 at 5:44 pm

Wait is Vera Hart’s archetype quiz actually about how different people manifest differently? Because that would explain why everyone gives completely opposite advice. I might need to try this.
