We know the truth about LLMs. AI can’t “do” maths, it doesn’t store “knowledge”, it can’t verify its own results, it has no logic or deduction capability, it can’t be trusted in law or medicine, it’s only right 50% of the time, it often mixes up “he” and “she”, and it can hallucinate. It’s the biggest scam in history. The crooked AI companies and their clueless fanboys and influencers will disappear. Hooray !

China has nearly erased the US lead in artificial intelligence in AI performance benchmarks according to the Stanford HAI 2026 AI Index Report.
This shift is driven by China’s rapid advancement in patents, publications, and physical AI (autonomous robotics), while the US retains advantages in capital, infrastructure, and high-end chip manufacturing.
Kimi K3 is an additional option for consumers and companies offering trained parameters publicly available for download, inspection and modification.
Moonshot AI is releasing Kimi K3, the world’s largest open-source model with 2.8 trillion parameters.
The model’s triggered a sharp decline in US tech and semiconductor stocks, echoing the “DeepSeek moment” from the previous year.
Kimi K3 outperformed rivals like Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.8 and OpenAI’s GPT 5.5 in coding and agent benchmarks, while offering open-weight access and lower API costs (approximately $3 per million input tokens).
This release has triggered significant market jitters, causing declines in semiconductor stocks and challenging the dominance of US-based competitors like OpenAI and Anthropic.
Kimi K3 is notable for its frontier-level coding capabilities, topping benchmarks for web engineering and outperforming proprietary models like Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5 in specific coding tasks while costing significantly less via API.
The model’s open-weight strategy allows developers to download, modify, and deploy the system freely, fueling a shift toward cheaper, customizable AI infrastructure and raising concerns in US about China’s rapid narrowing of the technology gap and innovation.

Like it or not, Chinese AIs are already on par if not almost in most areas and will even accelerate very much faster than now. For now, Chinese AIs doesn’t need to be the fastest nor the best which eventually very soon they will be BUT what they are doing now is getting the almost as fast and as almost good as the top US AIs and offers it at a very much cheaper and more affordable pricing that gives the best bang for the buck. That is good enough for a HUGE win.

K3 is hype. It’s a failed model. Despite huge size, it cannot beat other models. Speed is horrible. People cannot use the model due to poor availability.
