Lol, the fact that Microsoft sent their first Surface review units to: *CNET, Verge, iJustine, and UrAverageConsumer* tells me everything I need to know about them 😂🤣🤣

Yet, they won’t send it to a real reviewer. @Quanti I am picking mine up today so we will do a real review. Don’t worry.

Is these really a review? or just an Apple fan girl looking for what she doesn’t like about the laptop and complaining about it.

Cnet should’ve gotten someone in business or a student to review this machine their journalist obviously did not spend enough time with this as a daily driver and neither did they break down specs and daily use before explaining they’re bias and what they are missing from the device not what your reviewers strict opinion is. This channel and media outlet has always focused on hardware and consumer use not commercial plugs or a rant about how its not what your reviewer wanted. Its about whether us as consumers are being given the information needed to make an informed decision that will work for us and our productivity.

This is not a legitimate review from a tech site. Super disappointing. I’ll wait MKBHD I guess

This is such a sad take on a device I am sure isn’t that bad. She seemed like she was forced to do this and was very negative, not a great look for a reputable tech channel. I still love this laptop and might still buy it.

I really wonder what was a purpose of this review/ maybe more of a hands on made by a person so negatively biased towards this really groundbreaking device and with no real arguments. You can’t find such original and beautifully executed device anywhere on a market right now. I am not comparing flip screen latops because I just don’t accept to put any device with a keyboard deck facing the ground or a table. Sure in the past various companies tried to implement similar design but no near the style and performance of Surface Laptop Studio. The last one was really Acer Conceptd Ezel but when You compare Acer’s execution to Microsoft’s – Surface is clean and just beautifully designed and crafted. One would like to say – It’s all in this magic hinge and it seems that it really is – I would say such a smart design with the special material covering cables and internals. Plus 120Hz, plus beautiful glossy display, plus stylus, haptic trackpad, keyboard. I still use Surface Book with Performace Base and SLS ticks all the boxes I wanted that SBook lacks. I can imagine it has an amazing keyboard (like all the Surfaces), great trackpad, 120hz makes a difference. Finally 45 Wat CPU And Thunderbolt. I can’t wait to hook up an external RTX 3080 or something similar to this beauty of a device. If You want more angles You can flip the screen around and then the main hinge provides rigidity of a position. And I am writing all this not having the device itself. I don’t know but sometimes I see some reviewers presenting really groundbreaking devices really negatively as if it makes them cool or something but it really doesn’t. Surface Laptop Studio really is somewhat of a saint grail in today’s tech and we really should appreciate it. I can only imagine how useful it’s gonna be to graphic designers, architects, content creators but also for gamers who like to use stylus and ones watching movies. I like to play Heroes of Might and Magic series games and being able to make an input with a stylus takes the game to antoher level. Plus now You can bring the screen more towards You and get even more immersion. This device is just WOW. As groundbreaking as the first SBook in 2015. Really an All in One machine. The only little thing that I miss is a little bigger screen option (but I am sure the next iteration is gonna have also 16 inch option – my guess) and would have been amazing to see RTX 3060 option – but I also guess next iteration providing … RTX 4060 gpu option.

I dont even know where to start with this review. Why is someone reviewing a laptop that doesnt understand what a high refresh monitor does?

Saying that a device like this one is good for basic stuff is kind of outraging. And yes I screamed “this is the laptop I want” by the design itself as soon as I saw it. It has all that I would want as a designer. Personal opinions aside, this review was pretty bad 🤷‍♂️

Wow! It looks like Microsoft just stuck an iPad Pro in a Folio Case to a MacBook Pro. 😂🤦‍♂

Apple’s certainly not sweating this one lol. Not sure how this made it out of the design studio. Also, this review left a lot to be desired lol.

wy do you want to move screen when you want to type… use it as a proper laptop in the first configuration… very surprise complaint especially when you don’t know how to use a laptop.

I can certianly understand her “enthusiasm”. It’s not a particularly interesting or groundbreaking product. I find the design quite odd. The bottom tier is not elegant. It ruins the entire look and makes the computer THICK. As a first generation design they didn’t nail it. Version 2 will hopefully be better.

MacBook is slimmer but doesn’t offer touch. iPad Pro offer touch but doesn’t run desktop apps. Until both those device merges into one(which will happen in the future), this is the only powerful device in the market rn that is intended at creatives who doesn’t want to carry both the MacBook and iPad(with its accessories) along with them.

This review was waste of time. I mean you are free to state what you like and don’t like, but just saying “it’s low specs” without even going over the specs or doing any kind of benchmarking whatsoever was just terrible. It’s like 2/3 of the review is missing.

  33. Mobilewo

    October 6, 2021 at 11:22 am

Why would you say “some people don’t like, like me!”. Your review is different from others out there – you talk about user experience more than the specs. If I wanted to know the specs I could just check the specs from the manufacturers website. For a general user like me who don’t want to waste their money wants a review that talks in detail about how the product feels when actually used, and you have delivered that. Most people who watches this video already knows the specs. I can’t understand why are there so many negative comments!
EDIT: I looked at all her other videos and all the reaction were really positive and she had a lot of fans for her unique style of presentation. Maybe, the reason for the negative comment is because CNET gave a lot of negative opinions about Microsoft products(in the past), and finally maybe a new product with a new OS comes out and people felt this was also another negative review compared to every other reviews which were mixed to positive! Idk.

If you add the price of both the MacBook Pro and iPad Pro(with accessories) its total is far higher than this single product that does the job of both those devices.

How can you review this in less than 5 mins

  35. Steve Okubo

This is absolutely pathetic. Obviously, this “reviewer” (go back in history and you’ll find much of he so-called ‘reviews’ on Microsoft/WIndows products are as pathetic as this, or worse) has another agenda, as this assassination piece can, in no way, be called an actual serious and impartial review.
As others have stated, shame on you CNET. A company of your supposed caliber should know and do better.

I am unsubscribing from CNET on YouTube and unfollowing all their social media presence, since they seem to have stopped being an unbiased source of useful information.
