Since May, Meta has been tagging photos with a “Made with AI” label on Facebook, Instagram and Threads. But even AI itself isn’t good at telling what is or is not AI, and the company’s approach has drawn ire from photographers who claim it attached the label to real photos. As election season approaches, it’s important for massive social platforms to moderate AI generated content, but what does a “Made with AI” tag really accomplish if it isn’t reliable?

    From what I understand though the application and their web – Meta is enabling creator(user) to tag if the image they upload is made with AI. This is done by enabling it – its slider which say enable made my AI tag, If your application is setup as to tag then it may tag all as made with AI unless you disable it using the phone. So its not a system detected AI – rather users being obligated to tag which provide the design from system to do it.
