Nah, the robots still need people to attach strap handles to boxes so they can pick them up.

If I copied a video, and sold my new video, I’d be fined and branded as a copyright thief.

True, as if it were a human handyman watching how-to videos, they’d be ad revenue.

…No?
You’re telling me if you copied a video about making pizza, made your own and recorded it, and posted it.. you’d be subjected to copyright? No.

This company is not selling new videos. They are looking at videos and learning from them, just like humans do.

So what if you train it on AI generated videos? They’re all over Facebook being captioned as real-life events.

how does a robot who “Trained on 100 Million Internet Videos” has not seen or encountered an aluminium can?

How do you learn to fly a plane? How do you learn to make garments? There is millions of ways to gather that information. That information is, in a lot of cases, protected by some form of law. But what if that information was paid for by ad revenue, just like when I open a YouTube and have a paid subscription? Data, no matter how it is gathered, has a huge amount of value. When I watch something and I learn about I often use that in my own life.

Companies will spend any amount of money to not hire humans.
