Because YouTube is trying to ripoff TikTok so they got rid of features available on every other video on their platform for the sake of making shorts more like a TikTok clone

I was genuinely kind of going “yeah right” when I heard about the new Addams Family adaptation a while back, because even though I’m in my 20’s. I grew up watching the Original 1960’s TV show. And the 90’s one too. Even though the 90’s adaptation didn’t hold up as well for me.

But I watched this one, binged it. And can’t wait for season 2. It’s great!.

I love that they’re leaning into the Addams family ACTUALLY having powers. And not just being ‘Creepy and cooky, mysterious and spooky’

Also, WAYYYY closer in character to the 1930’s comics which is also awesome!

I don’t know who this twit is, but shat she describes is nothing to be proud of. If you get hurt or hurt someone else then the production could be delayed or ruined. Let them do their job, it’s what they’re paid for and they need the money more than some overpaid twit actress who’s trying to impress the Internet does.

Controversial opinion but actors shouldn’t do their own stunts. It’s purely for the actors own ego and they don’t understand or realize if they get injured they’ve just cost the entire crew their jobs until you recover. Plus it hardly makes a difference except now the actor gets to say “I do my own stunts, I love doing my own stunts”. Good for you, I love having a job.

    • Cherry 🍒

      December 7, 2022 at 5:12 am

I don’t agree. While some stunts may be too dangerous for actors if they’re not trained, there are many other stunts that aren’t that dangerous. It depends on what the actor can physically do. Also, you’re wrong again. Most actors don’t do their own stunts purely to lift their ego. I might not be an actress for movies on the big screen, but I’ve acted in many musicals and plays throughout my life. Me and the rest of my cast never did our own stunts just to increase our egos. We did it because we enjoyed it, we wanted to push ourselves to try something new, and it wasn’t extremely dangerous to the point where we could be very injured.

    • DarkLantern _

      December 7, 2022 at 10:34 am

I know what you mean, but I honestly think only Tom Cruise (and his co-stars, because it’s his film) who does that. Other actors only do stunts for their close-up filming, but they’re allowed by *insert-whoever-is-in-charge to say that they do their own stunts for publicity. Because I have literally seen Wednesday’s stunt double in the behind the scenes videos.

    • BleachedBonez

      December 8, 2022 at 7:34 am

@Cherry 🍒 lmao acted in many musicals, I’ve worked on actual films and personally know a bunch of professional stunt performers. Trust me, it might not be about ego on your scale but on Hollywood’s scale it’s mostly an ego thing.
And yes there are some stunts that aren’t dangerous, but overall they’ll look worse than someone who literally just does that for a living doing it. I’ve only ever seen maybe 2 or 3 actors who could ever match a pro’s performance.

  28. Zu _

    December 6, 2022 at 1:37 am

Probably because stunt people are there for a reason. They’re the professionals who have the training. If a main cast member gets injured that fucks up production for every one.
