xAI is also an AI company. It’s right there in the name. Tesla AI has it’s primarily focus on vehicles & autonomy, robots, mobility etc. xAI is focused on accelerating scientific breakthroughs. Each based on different data sets

Even if you take all the Uber $40billion total 2023 bookings and add it to TSLA $97billion revenue, that is merely 50% increase in revenue. What is all this FSD noise?

Robotaxi’s aren’t delayed, they were never going to happen. Nobody said there was going to be this grand prototype on 8/8… almost nothing has been said about what was actually supposed to be there anyway. Here is the deal, we will know Robotaxis are close three different ways, and all 3 of them must be true.
1. Tesla gives you instructions that you can now get into the back seat and take a nap while the car drives. FSD for current Tesla owners must be fully solved, ie.. Tesla tells you that you don’t need to be in the drivers seat anymore. The fact that Tesla tells you that you have to be in the drivers seat, but undistracted, and have your hands ready to take over the wheel means you are years away from the tech being good enough for a Robotaxi
2. Registrations for approval in major markets in the USA. This process took a year for Waymo. This requires Tesla to file publicly available paperwork, for the cities and counties to approve that paperwork at meetings. This is all public, and the process is long. If Tesla submits paperwork, it would make national news, and there would still be a year before it was approved in any market
3. Insurance discussions and major insurance companies making deals with Tesla. Waymo provides liability for their robotaxis. Tesla does not currently provide their own insurance that covers accidents under FSD. Does anyone really think insurance companies are going to cover your car if you send it out alone to be a robotaxi and have strangers randomly in your car. There has been no discussion at all from Tesla at all about how liability insurance is going to work, and there certainly not any major insurance companies jumping at the chance to get involved, they barely tolerate Uber drivers
Anyone that thinks just going from FSD 12.3 to FSD 12.5 is going to suddenly make Robotaxis happen is kidding themselves.

Traders cannot look a Tesla like at others shares based on fake announcements and surprises without ignoring basic mobility facts and evolution in 2024. Here, mobility or transportation experts do better, at Toyota for instance, a world leader, often criticised and teased for being totally off trend with too few BEV « efforts » only aimed at harvesting the EV subsidies flooded to mfrs. by the lobbying system…Yet Toyota is harvesting the industry highest historical profit in 23 and plans on 43% more hybrids production in 2024 vs 23. The current BEV crisis was therefore predictable, providing you captured most of the market signals instead of focusing on foolish announcements NOT reflected in facts later.. and this trend is systematically since years…
A visual short ww market survey was easely showing the excessive stock of pre-owned and pre-leased lithium wagons piling up and becoming more and more non-sellable for a lot of reasons (Chinese junk , industrial rich markets EV surplus unsuited, unlike ICE ´s , to re-exportation to poor countries with no electricity : the richest large countries in Africa, Nigeria and SAR have the worst power supply, etc..) . Now with more EV sellers than buyers, a lot more in fact, this is causing a fast depreciation of the entire moving fleet of Bev’s new and old…
This was very simple to anticipate , the market can be slow to respond, but you never fool it twice!!! Call it the Madoff syndrome if you wish…Lets note also that the reputed ACEEE had no Tesla models in the 10 most recommended efficient and greenest vehicles of 2024. The Tesla production with 14% layoffs (10% was a lie from Elon) was only 410.831 vehicles in Q2 2024, which is LESS than one month of Toyota Lexus hybrid production,!!!
Still, Tesla is the exclusive BEV mfr. which suffers the smallest recent volume drops, lucid, Canoo, Friscker, etc, are all dead or dying. All the other mfrs. behind Toyota (BYD MG Honda Mazda Hyundai Kia etc…) are focusing on more efficient hybrids specially PHEV’s (simply because one 2L. ICE one 12 gal.tank and 13.4 kWh lithium battery does the job with a 50 miles of full electric range and 600 miles autonomy with only HALF the weight of a 260miles heavy battery and with SIX time less lithium and dirty grey energy for the planet )
PHEV seems currently the best compromise with the best synergy between the BEV and ICE world , taking the advantages of both and erasing the drawbacks of both ..so for a while the game is over… Now, with 14 pct. less workers and even with the best robots and robots taxis of the world, Tesla disrupted vehicular production WILL NOT rise while all the bills to reimburse gigafactories are piling up with less and less Bev sales to fund them. And as a technology provider and game changer with safety in mind…..where are the wide angle cameras and radars with potential automatic lane change during emergency braking if the lanes left or right are free and with a reacting times like no human could match…: on a Prius or a Tesla Model 3 ? You got the answer? So you know what the TSLA share will do…
