i don’t have a structural issue! i have standards. i’d rather be alone then with someone who is annoying, antagonistic or in someway not aligned w my deeply held values.

If one person fails to meet your standards, that’s an issue with that person. If every person fails to meet your standards, that’s an issue with your standards.

This is reminiscent of the Gottman’s notion of “bids for connection” and noticing them in our people

I think there may be too many distractions. I’m 61 years old, but of course when I came up back in the day,
there were other issues, but people talked to each other more…..verbally

I’m very set in my routine. Log on for work between 8 and 9, work for 9 hours and often have a nap afterwards. Saturdays are my “me” time and then i have Sunday for chores. I don’t really have time or energy to foster those connections. I’ve got some friends i knew back in school i still talk to and play video games with, but in person interactions are lacking both due to time and geography. Also part of the reason i don’t have a boyfriend

@Dodger6735 It’s a dangerous business going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to
