Elon Musk has said that Tesla has ambitious plans for AI this year, which will require it to more than double its usage of Nvidia’s flagship AI chip by the end of this year. He’s also said the company will be spending $10 billion on a combination of training and inference AI. However, internal emails have come out indicating that thousands of chips will be sent to X rather than Tesla. Tesla shareholders are left wondering if Musk will make good on his AI promises.
