@322subject you had a defective unit. Apple released a statement that it will be covered and you will be able to get a replacement

Has the middle line on the phone seems more noticeable?

I suspect that Apple tested this phone using a similar process. There doesn’t seem to be any test out there that attempted to do this test with different touchpoints or using different elevations / angles. There’s obviously something going on for those numerous reports of the glass cracking due to one of the 3D printed hinges failing.

The crack gate is complete BS

Notice how all the cracks happened on launch day within hours of each other , as if somebody coordinated it

    Now nothing more for days

TLDW: 281,962 folds to the end of this live. Hinge and screen still fine.

In ideal conditions, all foldables will last pretty much forever. The problem is when you for with hand, you don’t always fold it identically. Sometimes you will fold pressing down on the crease with your finger once in a while. Sometimes you will fold using one hand with finger touching inner screen. This test is meaningless.

You looking about about 10 years of folding.

As of now, the Duo has 278,209 folds. To put this into perspective:

    10 folds per day = 76.2 years
    20 folds per day = 38.1 years
    30 folds per day = 25.4 years
    50 folds per day = 15.2 years
    75 folds per day = 10.2 years
    100 folds per day = 7.6 years
    150 folds per day = 5.1 years
    200 folds per day = 3.8 years

Do it with fingers not ropes or some cylinders. Also, do it with fold 8 if you are nıt trying to defend apple.

No fair these are AI folds not clumsy human folds 🤣

this is a very daring test on the folding and unfolding, people saw it live, at least it was not done in the lab closely and then claimed it could last 500K or 1million folds…

    282,000! 🎉😮 ….So 300,000 tomorrow! If you fold your Duo 50 times a day, that would be 16 years! Even 100x a day, that’s a bit over 8 years!😅
