I’ve been an iPhone user since day one and have not wanted to use any other brand. The first couple of years that it came out I did understand the excitement, but I don’t understand it anymore. They’re not revolutionary better or different. iPhone duo definitely is but it’s not the first foldable in the market.

Then these same people complain about the price of groceries and gas. The government looks at these social settings and determines, if people can find over $1,000 to buy a new iPhone, some upgrading from last years Pro Max. How is the economy in bad shape? Are these K shaped economy participants, are we looking at people going into credit card debit to satisfy FOMO and euphoria of having something new? I admit, I have FOMO about getting the Duo using the Klarna upgrade program even though I could buy it outright. But there comes a point when delayed gratification needs to take the lead. Many of these customers could easily prolong their iPhones many of which are still capable of running iOS 27 without the extra debt.

small heads up if youre in the us, the 18 pro max teardown confirmed it runs a qualcomm modem not apples own C2, so its not quite the all in house thing it looks like

I work in cellular and there were no lines outside of any stores. This is a publicity stunt for apple to make it look like people still line up on iPhone launch days. News flash, they don’t.
