Nice to see Apple at least trying to catch up with Android. 😂

Come on, iPhone was the 1st real revolution in comm evolution. Android was just glomming. competition was inevitable. Now you get to play the ol’: ‘’ford is way better than chevy, no dodge is the best.’’

For years now~ ’’the thrill is gone’’ expecting anything profound in future iPhones. ‘’Glance friendly’’ always on display is the lede? Bye.

I was 100% certain Apple would be adding a camera button on the iPhone 4S when the previous software added the option to capture a photo using the volume button.

      Snapchat has that 🤣

It doesn’t need an AOD 🙄 never got the hype when Fandroids always brought up that feature in arguments. When I added a Pixel 6 Pro to my phone line up and used the AOD, it was just as useless as I figured it would be plus it drains my battery.

    • Christopher Hartford

      June 23, 2022 at 7:14 pm

@OW very little? Show me the data behind your conclusion.

    • OW

      June 23, 2022 at 7:28 pm

@Christopher Hartford well one, look at the comments under this video, two, no one is really asking for AOD, it’s not a highly demanded feature, like say, a larger battery. Every year that the iphone series has come out there’s not really a “why is there no AOD?” From the masses, maybe from a few techies. Thats my “proof”, it’s not something that’s really sought out so R&D isn’t going to waste their time on it

    • Christopher Hartford

      June 23, 2022 at 7:32 pm

@OW this is one video, with a small number of viewers. Compared to the hundreds of millions of iPhone users. Your data sucks. I’ve been seeing people begging for AOD since android came out with it back in early 2010s.

    • OW

      June 23, 2022 at 7:38 pm

@Christopher Hartford this is CNET, one of the biggest tech reviewer in the world 😅 this is pretty mainstream so this will contain the average buyer, not a techie. I’ve seen people ASK why there’s no AOD on iPhones and they’re usually Android users, but there are hardly any people that actually say they want it or that it’s something that’s a deal breaker.

Only iPhone has accurate color screen that when you put samsung claims color accurate samsung phones, the color is much different

    June 23, 2022 at 2:09 pm

Apple is way behind android lock screen customization. The design is still the same lame.

I can’t think of any feature that would make me upgrade from iPhone 8+ other than USB-C

    • EFCONNECT

      June 23, 2022 at 6:22 pm

For me camera is one of the biggest jumps. Heck the iPhone 8+ to iPhone 11 is a big jump just due to the low light photography improvements. You’ll probably notice nice changes going from the 8+ to the 14

    • Gary Ritter

      June 23, 2022 at 6:58 pm

@EFCONNECT My son has the 12. I don’t photograph enough to care. Cameras have been “fine” for many years in my eyes. The only thing I regularly hate about my device is the charging.

    • OW

Don’t think I’ll be getting an iphone 14. My 12 pro still works.

    • sherri moquin

      June 24, 2022 at 3:16 am

Also iPhones don’t have that option on the bottom to get rid of apps all at once whereas Samsung phones have that option and it’s called delete all.

    • ItsPhil Lang

      June 24, 2022 at 12:41 pm

@sherri moquin that’s why your Samsung phone as months passes will be much poorer in efficiency in using its already unoptimised apps…because you close it

    • Michael Boys

      June 24, 2022 at 1:18 pm

@sherri moquin I don’t care about that. I use iphones because they have the best accessibility for the visually impaired.

@ItsPhil Lang what do you mean exactly

    • sherri moquin

@Michael Boys well I just wanted to tell you that cause that’s one of the features Samsung phones have ya know

Does Siri still require you to unlock your iPhone before performing certain task in iOS 16?
If Siri is trained to recognize the iPhone owner’s voice during Siri setting up, Siri should unlock the phone and perform the action on the owner’s command.
Siri does it well for some command, but require you to unlock the phone to perform others.
Apple, this is my iOS 16 request.

      June 24, 2022 at 11:32 am

      I’ve had this problem too
I have mobility issues that I could
ask Siri to call my Husband in the garage
When I needed toilet paper 🧻
I Couldn’t get to my phone I was using my watch
Yet the Australia guy kept wanting me to unlock
my phone so I can call him
      Useless

I think one clue for the iPhone 14 pro most likely is that the M2 chip has a 8k pro res encoder. I think the iPhone 14 pro might get 8k video recording

Can they just improve the podcast app please?

Maybe the iPhone 13 pro will finally come down in price so I can finally afford it. It’s a pain in the butt because it means I have to update the iOS on all my apple devices again. Makes me wonder if it’s worth the money. Because by the time you finally have the money to buy it, Apple is already developing something else.

Because Apple gave us remove a subject to create another picture. I have a feeling we might get the scrub google feature for the iPhone 14.

  35. Truth Seeker

    June 27, 2022 at 10:46 pm

Apple wouldn’t but a AOD on iOS 16 for everyone to use because only the 14 Pro models will use it or maybe even the non pros. The 13 pro series go down to 10HTZ phones that use AOD go down to 1HTZ so to save battery Apple won’t probably give the older iPhones AOD.
