WOW had the same experience that you had,,,,including the baby rhino scenes. Clearly this was a very curated demo that Apple put together and certainly was mind boggling. I was lucky enough to get an extra 20 mins of demo for behind the scenes that were not necessarily in the demo which took me to another level. When I left and got in my car I had to recalibrate my brain and eyes to insure that in real world. Was kinda weird feeling. Will I buy it,,,,not until Gen 4 and price drops,,then I am all in. Worth the experience for anyone that has an extra hour to spend at Apple. Thanks for you review

Cool tech capability: navigating easily without a controller.

Interesting use cases (IMO): watching sports/concerts live; movies

Downsides: price; weak game library; solitary (true of all VR)

I had an Apple Vision Pro demo. I had to travel a bit for it because there is no Apple store near me. I was not impressed. I’m happy for people who had a good experience but I do not understand why Apple feels like they have to rename things that already exists such a 3D photo or 360 video. I also did not see any “magic” that the sales person kept talking to me about. I’ve been using VR headsets for a number of years- cellphone VR headsets, PC headsets, and standalone. I also make 360 videos and work in 3D graphics. I did not see any magic. I love Apple products but I think folks should be clear. the VP is a VR/MR headset that at best gives you a 180 degree view it is never full 360 immersive experience. It has great visuals and nice user interface. it’s a great piece of technology but no magic sorry. an no haptics

Given the AVP costs more than my condo dues and mortgage for three months, I think I’m good with my Meta Quest 3, especially because gaming and Social VR are my main uses with XR.

Had basically the same experience as you…very impressed with the demo but I’ll wait until the price comes down to a reasonable level. Definitely excited for the future of this new way of computing.

    • @redshirtwookiee

“new way of computing”. As if Apple is the first company to produce a VR headset.

She said it would probably feel somewhat uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. That makes it unlikely you would watch a movie or work on it for any length of time.

  19. @winterheat

4:47 I think here you can show that you can look up or down, or left or right. For example, you can look down and see the feet of the person on the rope, or look to the right and see a guy playing some music in that music video

Wealthy people will pay idiots to wear these googles at your wedding or family events to have perfect 3d video photos that’s what I think will happen the groom or bride can’t wear them but they will pay a person to do it new profession

  21. @JamieTorontoAtkinson

A spatial computer should allow you to do a lot of computing. I really want to be able to see and experience other people experiences virtually from anywhere in real time. I was hoping that Freeform or Reality kit would allow this. Freeform should also allow for a 3d canvas not just 2d with 3d elements. Where are the autodesk softwares and sketchup? I still loved the device but I feel like apple is holding back too much and I just don’t want to wait.

Bridget, you scream like a girl😂. Hearing a tech reviewer yell get the rhinoceros off of me. 😂. Go ahead tell your therapist that rhinoceros were chasing you at Mount Hood and let’s see if we ever see you again😂

The demo especially blew me away. The passthrough vision (video, tbh) is better than the real world for me. But I will be waiting for more apps (e.g., an official youtube and netflix) and more 3D live sport contents before getting it though.

  31. @lisedionne4649

    March 1, 2024 at 11:41 pm

So the 3D movies arent 360?

    • @mamaboy1121

What 3D movies are 360? Lol

    • @firefox2462

      March 3, 2024 at 11:59 am

You don’t want those to be 360

  36. @i2really1der

    March 2, 2024 at 5:46 pm

6:54 That keyboard should be more virtually ergonomic, because it is flat and vertical on the screen rather than horizontal (depth of field).

  37. @DaMomento

    March 2, 2024 at 7:02 pm

    Too many complications
One is carrying something like that around is a burden
Second it is way too expensive for average Joe
Like Apple is making fun of the poor when they bring new expensive toys creating division between poor and rich
Third why would we live in a bloody virtual world while we can live in a real world
Stop this nonsense of virtual worlds that will disconnect everyone of you from reality
Finally those use these look like robots that are malfunctioned
    Insanity
    No thanks
    Don’t want one!

It was so heavy! That was the only thing I felt

  40. @PeteTheGeek196
