I think if I could build a perfect Siri, it would be able to act as a true digital assistant that could handle complex task like “Hey Sir, set a reminder for Monday at 8:00 that says Call the team, Flag it and make it high priority, also add a note to it that says see Bobs email dated 5/16 as a point of reference” I’m not holding my breath, but that would be a useful Siri!

I tell you, this was one of the most enjoyable videos you have made, and I love all of them. Well, almost all of them. Seriously though, I do not want an assistant that is giggly and flirty and laughing. I simply want a natural sounding assistant that gets requests right and that I can rely on. I do prefer the Google Assistant right now because it just seems like it gets things right. I would love Siri to be better considering I live in the Apple ecosystem I guess we’ll find out more at WWDC.

This system has a customizable voice. The demo reveal was not indicative of what the individual chooses to hear.

Notice how the headline says there is an offense so egregious, this woman won’t use a product because of it. It is an excellent example of political hypergamy – where a woman has a grandiose sense of her reproductive value, and attempts to gain social staus by asserting power or influence based on her fantasy of desirabilty. In other words, this video is an example of female narcissism.

Notice how the offense is deeply-rooted in contempt for males who prefer women with personalities that the host regards as inferior: The product has a comical female voice and is interested in what they men to say. The host obviously thinks men who enjoy this product are beneath her.

No grandiose female ego there. Nope. None at all. LOL

I don’t care how human my AI assistant sounds, as long as it uses clear, easy to understand language, and the information it gives me is accurate. Google needs to chill.

I would be pleased if, when I asked SIRI a question, the response wasn’t, more often or not, “Here’s what I found on the Web”, complete with dictation errors. thus requiring me to then click a URL link or open the glorified Google search in Chrome to get an actual answer i was seeking. Back when I was on Android, before I switched to the iPhone 13 Pro Max 2yrs ago, Google Assistant would mostly justly tell me the answer to my query.

Here you go: you can customize ChatGPT’s conversational style/response:

If you go to settings > personalization > customize ChatGPT

Toggle on “enable for new chats” and you’re going to get two prompts. One is: “What would you like ChatGPT to know about you to provide better responses.” Enter your preferences (casual, friendly, professional, whatever your preferences are).

The other prompt is: How would you like ChatGPT to respond? (Again, the user can enter “casual”, “friendly”, “professional,” whatever your preferences are).

No need to be jealous. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Please, I beg you to speak of Apple in a positive light only. Otherwise, the Apple apologists will come out in droves to debunk your statements and prove you wrong! 🍎😂😂

Completely agree with your thoughts. If Apple can do what you mentioned that I might finally switch to an iphone. I do not need a flirty digital assistant with “personality”, i just need it to get things done efficiently and correctly!

This video and messaging is gross. Bridget doesn’t respect helpful, kind women… or the AI modeled after them. Got it. Swing and a miss CNET.

  19. @tmagnussen

    May 18, 2024 at 6:43 pm

I’d say let people have a Scarlett Johanson sound-alike if they prefer. Siri has a male counter-part, which I think is default even today – I’m sure there will be one that better suits your fancy. We will likely be able to choose the personality for our AI assistants? Anyway I feel as if someone just revealed a flying car and you insist on discussing it’s color. The capabilites of GPT4-o are so mind-blowing – I don’t care if it’s flirty – It is pretty damn cool!

  20. @lexlopez15

    May 18, 2024 at 6:47 pm

“If apple does this…” then where are you going to go? All the major players are doing it…

Wasn’t the biggest complaint about smart assistants was that the “sound too robotic”? Fact is that people are less likely to interact and engage with AI if they don’t feel “connected” to AI…. What we’re seeing now is a step above what skynet came out with that’s for sure…if the T-800 sounded like Gemini then he wouldn’t have to go around asking if they are Sarah Connor or breaking into police cars to find her. 😜

  21. @marsrocket

    May 18, 2024 at 6:53 pm

This is a complete non-issue. You can make the personality whatever you want. I told it to speak faster and give more concise and professional answers.

  22. @chillinJohnny

    May 18, 2024 at 7:00 pm

Don’t listen to tech companies, listen to influencers

  23. @terranceblount5959

    May 18, 2024 at 7:18 pm

I’m with you here. Basically, I want Siri to sound like Siri using T-800 syntax. “Hey, Siri! What’s the best recipe for  Pie?!” Response:” I have detailed recipes (files)…” Simply give me raw answers and respond to foolishness appropriately. 🤷🏽‍♂️
