Whoa, this sounded like a glowing Apple ad… Where is the sarcastic Bridget that we all know and love?

Why it took Apple 7 years to copy Samsung’s folding phone? Is that what surprised you the most? Or that it STARTS at $2000??? LOL

@CNET sorry but not a good design.

If I had to guess, she’s 5’1 or 5’2.

Why are you calling people “consumers” ? This is a disturbing trend. I’ve been hearing this dehumanizing corpo terminology from so many youtubers and other people in media.
@glacier-crest
September 11, 2026 at 6:31 pm
Trend? People have been using that word for decades to refer to people who buy…and consume things. Take off the tin foil hat maybe.

$3500 AUD…naaah, no matter how nice it looks. That is a crazy price for a mobile.

I never considered a foldable phone until I saw the iPhone Duo. The software looks amazing, and Apple just has a way of doing things right!

Nothing new – Samsung and a few Chinese phone producers beat Apple years ago. The ludicrous price is a gouge.

It’s Apple glazing season 🙌 Tech reviewers complained about the Samsung UDC (quality) fold 8 lack of telephoto lens and price. Will people keep that same energy while reviewing the duo? 🤔
@QuantumDoom

Nope! This is a cult!

The Duo starts at CAD $ 3,000 and AUD $3,500. For a phone. The decision’s pretty simple.

Thanks to Samsung innovations/failures and tech for manufacturing the “nano texture” aka matte displays. You know they’ll have an improved version of this one they made for their competitor for the next Samsung Flip/Fold.

I think you’re going to grow a 💯. Always cheerful, joyful and an optimistic soul. For that alone, cause it makes me smile, I watch this video. About upgrading, I don’t know yet. The duo is a beautiful device absolutely. Very tempting indeed but I have no clear use for it. TFS your thought. I might walk over to Tantau tomorrow to see the gear in my hands.

Apple has changed the trend and the industry once again. The DUO is actually the iPhone Regular & PRO KILLER. 5 years from now, we will all have an iPhone DUO.😎

I’ll buy one when FaceID & TrueDepth is back. Its cameras are rubbish and it can’t take spatial photos/videos. What’s annoying is a lot of the ‘features’ that make it great are software features and shouldn’t be restricted to this hardware.
@Yungb02

$1,999USD in this economy is not a tough choice. Fold is nice, but if you have a recent iPhone, you’re good.

I feel bad that apple user’s are just now experiencing all the things android user’s have been doing for years. But i guess late is better than never.
