I use the spen today to save myself from needing to carry a tablet.

As long as reviewers call Samsung cameras “excellent” (at the same time not being allowed to mention stuff like shutter lag / motion blur), with need for just a liiitle bit of improvement – we’ll get pretty much same “it will be fixed with updates” halfbaked devices. Noone that I know gave up on Samsung because they wanted/expected “mirrorless camera” quality, just decent/reliable point and shoot experience with basics (indoor conditions, moving subjects, skin tones…) finally solved.

Watching a grown man stress over the color of his smartphone is just awkward.

The overwhelming majority of everyday people either put it in a case, or don’t care.

Outside of iMessage, Apple doesn’t have anything better than Samsung.

    Bring back the Note line.
Stop trying to copy the iPhone design (They peaked with S22Ultra and S23Ultra)
    Restore Bluetooth to the S-Pen
    Bring back expandable storage
    Improve the battery life
Scrap the Exynos SoC and stop ripping off Europeans.

“I don’t use the S-Pen” is a terrible defence of their actions. They’ve been rewarded for taking features away, when those who don’t use it can keep in in the silo. I’ve seen a lot of influencers defend it, and it’s pathetic.

If Spen doesn’t have Bluetooth, I won’t buy this phone and will switch to other brands. They removed the heart rate monitor, which was very useful, removed the FM radio, and removed Spen functionality. They removed the microSD card. Who needs these things? It’s just marketing and degradation.

This be the real wake up call, just what Apple needed too

Don’t talk about the spen like that it’s literally the only reason I still use a Samsung.

    Certainly, a 6″ – 6″2 Ultra speced phone will have a market.

I really prefer the larger phone, and I LOVE my stylus. I think a 7.2″ screen would be cool.
What I don’t do is remember to take photos hardly ever.
    And I loathe generative AI.

You morons keep going on about silicone carbon batteries there’s a reason Samsung is not going with that battery technology its because they degrade alot faster and swell up I’m glad they don’t go with silicone carbon batteries….. i like my phone to last not everyone can or want to upgrade there phone every year. Samsung has more to lose then those chinese phones if a note 7 blow up were to happen again

They’re not the best with pictures. People looked washed out often. So many pictures of scenery and landscapes and buildings, but very rarely of actual people. Phone Reviewers are hardly ever parents. Parents take mostly patients of the kids and they frequently look washed out. The iPhone and the Pixel take way better pictures of people.

A cosmetic upgrade by Samsung seriously!

  23. @bonyraindrop42

    February 2, 2026 at 6:40 pm

Has it really changed much since the S22 Ultra? Still looks the same. Adding a privacy screen… Some people might be excited about that but I’d assume many won’t care about this feature. Kinda like the camera control on Apple.

    • @matthewerickson4110

      February 2, 2026 at 7:03 pm

Um yeah tons of changes since s22u

I don’t complain much except they removed the Bluetooth from the stylus..bring it back!😁

I love my sPen. Was really bummed that my s 25 Ultra isn’t Bluetooth. I really want one to be purple! 💜
