“We have the right to demand budgets to be equitable, to be fair,” says economist Maja Bosnic. One way to get there is to make them gender-responsive. With examples from the nearly 80 countries around the world already factoring gender into public finance decisions, she shares how budgets that actively account for gender don’t just lead to equality — they’re also more efficient and effective.

So if you didn’t record genders how do you know money didn’t go to women and the word traditionally is such a slimey weasle word in this context. What she should have said is from when women were allowed to own land. I suspect that women have been able to earn land for some time now but she wanted to earn victim points. Equality of outcome is impossible to obtain and is tyrannical in nature. Gender should be relievent when considering biological differences such as pregnancies but all others it is irrelevant and they should concentrate on the individual and their needs as much as possible. Anything else is either racist or sexist.

1 minute 25 seconds in: If they didn’t know the farmers gender they couldn’t know the distribution of funds per gender. I think agricultural business are predominantly owned by men due to historical reasons. Therefore distributing most funds to men is not necessarily unfair. If 90% of people are men, 90% of funds should go to men. Adressing the skewed distribution is a different matter entirely.

    • Remy Lebeau

      March 28, 2022 at 6:52 pm

    • Lief Schneider

      March 28, 2022 at 7:48 pm

Video is just all BS. “They didn’t even know the gender of farmers”, yes because gender doesn’t effing matter. They shouldn’t know because it doesn’t matter, if the concern is that there are farmers that aren’t aware of the funding, then that is something completely different, and still doesn’t matter about gender.

No it won’t. Look at what sharing with Africa ends like. If you share, those people with no conscience will be the first to take, because they will find some reason why they have the right to.
How is the saying..? Give the man a bread and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to farm and you feed him for the life.

People of the earth, if you want to stop the war, you will have to make a presentation to Putin and others about the six reincarnations or it will never end. The story of reincarnation is broadcast on TV in many countries. And since people and things move in response, it immediately applies whether you are reincarnated as an animal or a human being. If there are only one or two life patterns, it is difficult to be reborn in that state, but if there are more than 3 million life patterns, it applies with high probability. The probability of suffering is high. Why does what we do come back to us? This is because when we are reborn as human beings, we usually have the same life pattern everywhere.

“We have the right to..” These days everyone believes that simply by being born, other people ..or state or someone..something should take care of them…
Problem of public money is that it must be taken from someone. In my oppinion it should not be available to everyone the same, as not everyone is doing the same for the society.

DON’T TOUCH MY FUCKING WALLET. “You can’t choose that”. SO IT’S NOT FUCKING FAIR. Amazing that people prefer to figure out how to improve taxation or what to do with the tax-payers money than proposing solutions on the market, i.e., offer it to people and check if they get your product/service voluntarily. If you are using violence to be the foundation of your social structure, it’s not social.

Government is violence and theft via extortion. Even in a democracy, it’s just mob rule to say that might makes right, if I have more people than you, then we can take your money to spend on ourselves. Heck, the US is spending the future’s wealth on itself now, showing how greedy and envious the current crop of citizens are, to take from their own children so they can have wars and bad government now.

Agriculture and using technology to improve it is such a good way of fixing the economy of a country . If only people in the third world new that there are advanced ways that are worth investing in as well as the education part of teaching it to youth is important. Please spread such ideas, yet the majority living in under developed countries around the world dont have access to internet or when they finally do they are technilogically illiterate . A bit of brain storming is needed yet with the right steps even if they look simple at first maybe we can end world hunger for good

Maybe I didn’t get what she was trying to say but gender budgeting as explained seemed a little ludicrous. She explained that 90% of the farmers were men on the basis of land ownership. Therefore, 90% of the farming subsidizes went to men. There’s nothing necessary wrong with that if those farming men feed 90% of the country. Seams like she was arguing equity not equality. Equity is giving the same amount to two people when one did significantly more work, which is grossly unfair. If 90% of the farming men fed 90% of the country, then equality demands they get 90% of the farming subsidize.
