Oh? How about the electoral college.. or the federal reserve… healthcare… education… the major parts of our society are all broken and unsustainable. As long as people can get by jussssst enough to avoid civil war it passes. Sad. Our country has literally done a 360 and went back to everything our ancestors fought against.

The US legal system is not blind for it treats individuals differently depending upon their economic or law enforcement status. We have a different legal system for:
#1 The rich AND famous. (the AND is important)
    #2 The rich.
    #3 Law enforcement.
#4 White or “perceived white” people
    #5 Those with permanent tans.
    EDIT:
#6 Citizens below the poverty line. The “one is only as free as your money” phenomenon.

      March 12, 2022 at 5:02 pm

I would say Rich and/or famous, but not always color of skin. If you’re impoverished, you’re a target regardless,..easy target!

    • Adria

      March 12, 2022 at 6:04 pm

Permanent Tan, that is more offensive than using the word black. Why is the word white ok to use and the word Black Not. Societies need to stop the nonsense of not using the word black, otherwise this will never end.

    • Aron TB Suchkind

      March 12, 2022 at 6:22 pm

@Valerie Hancotte-Galan That is a good point, poverty places populations in jeopardy of abuse/exploitation.
When I was a kid back in the day in the old hood we knew what cops would just beat you or worse….so we would run. Those cops did that because they could. Although white, we were poor so they could get away with it.

    • Aron TB Suchkind

      March 12, 2022 at 6:23 pm

@Adria the word black/Black isn’t offensive BTW. BUT it also doesn’t cover the entire spectrum now does it short bus?

Two of the most broken things : big pharma and the “just-us“ system. Step 1 : do national health care and the gov takes over all drugs patents and sell them at cost, all those rich assholes and their puppets in governments who oppose it get the electric chair and all their assets seized. Step 2 : all cops, judges and politicians are subject to the same laws as everybody else, no excuse. No more elected judges, DAs or sherrifs. No more life appointments to courts for judges. When cops murder someone, they go to prison if its not in self defense. All drugs are decriminalized. No more prisons for profit. All non violent drug crimnals already in prison are released immediately.

That should be a good start.

Ted is good , but started to get a bit to “woke.” America is not perfect but we get zero credit for being the first country where white people risked their own lives to fight against slavery . and then to go around the world telling all countries that it was wrong to have slaves. and further sing the moniker that “ALL men were created equal. “, Instead we are only told how bad white men are, and how racist we are. Travel the world and you may find , while not perfect , America is a leader on this rock flying in space . It can be better for sure, however it’s like having a boss that constantly points out your faults with zero praise for the work you have done above and beyond .

What is a criminal? Answer – it’s you and me – placed under enough pressure. It’s us being treated without mercy until eventually we crack.

None of us can pretend that we can live without mercy – without kindness. None of us is self made. We are born in hospitals built by others – we go to schools created by others – we travel on roads built by others. We are educated by people who we can never pay back – we can only pass on what they did for us.

I’ve been living in London for the past five years. The homeless are – with few exceptions – entirely functional – they are just down and out. People passing by chat with them like they would with anyone. Now I’m visiting New York City and there are people all over the place whose behaviour is dysfunctional – and there’s only one reason for the difference – because in the US homeless people – poor people – are in many places treated like trash – their behaviour being their only means to protest – to say “I’m worth something”.

Google incarceration rates by country and you’ll see that the US is at the VERY TOP of a list of failed states – with few first world countries in the top hundred. I am a Christian and for a country in which so many profess a faith to treat those who are poor as the US does completely blows my mind. It’s a disgrace – proof of immense spiritual blindness. Americans – speaking as a whole – are only interested in you if you are a somebody – to not be a somebody is literally a crime in the US. To live simply – to be a servant to others – to lead others by becoming smaller so they can become greater – is not valued – it is scorned.

I spend time pointing out the corruption in the message of US Christian leaders online – I show exactly why what they say is wrong – and yet those who follow them couldn’t care less – it only matters that the person has power – it’s completely irrelevant how they got power and use power – it only matters that they have it. The spirit of Trump is everywhere – there’s absolutely no reason to see Trump’s prominence as his fault. He was given his prominence by people who believe that lying, abuse, coercion, lack of mercy – is the way forward.

When will we fix our bail reform system?? The serial killer that was hiding body parts around Brooklyn was charged with killing and raping someone in 1963, released in 84, stabbed and dismembered someone in Central Park in 85, and now killed someone recently. Who in their right mind would release someone that has killed two people back out into the world let alone a second time. Accountability is what we want

    • listen2meokidoki

      March 13, 2022 at 12:34 pm

You are confused. Justice is a balancing act. There is no way to define the future. If you don’t want to be hit by a bus, do you ban buses? Or will you take responsibility into your own hands & watch where you’re going? Or do you FEEL the buses are coming after you?

    • Emm N.

      March 13, 2022 at 4:31 pm

@listen2meokidoki Actually you’re the confused one… in your analogy you wouldn’t ban all busses just those that are built with dead angles or other obstructions that would impede a diver to see since people get mostly hit on street crossing because of bad driving.
“7 Most Common Causes of Pedestrian Accidents: 1) Distracted Driving. 2) Speeding. 3) Failing to yield the right of way to pedestrians at crosswalks.”
What he was saying is that for some classes of crimes, bail should not be an option while for other classes, e.g. soft drugs, should be exempted from bond bail if the person in question does not have any serious prior offenses. Bail bond is reasonable for repeat offenders or of other crimes not involving serious crimes, murders, rapes, child abuse, etc.

    • listen2meokidoki

      March 14, 2022 at 1:13 am

@Emm N. You may have a problem with buses in our country. Not in mine. Maybe your people are on the wrong drugs. We strictly make sure everyone is on the right drug all the time. Anyway, you are at a slight advantage because I only watched the first minute of this video. SO what you are saying is he is saying what the JUDICIAL SYSTEM has always said. Every case is different. As for mandatory sentences, well, that’s political and in a democracy you should blame THE PEOPLE. Maybe your PEOPLE are fucked in the head. Like they are in Pakistan and Russia and China and OMG I can’t see it diminishing. Never say, IT CAN’T GET ANY WORSE. Never over estimate human collective stupidity.

In a lawless society anyone could get away with killing you and taking your stuff. Angry mobs and revenge murders would be the only form of justice, and irrational people have no sense of right and wrong so innocent people can end up being lynched. Laws exist for a good reason.
