Music can amplify social issues and inspire people to care about new (and sometimes unexpected) topics. But can it take something as dire as climate change and make it mainstream? With artists MyVerse and Kristen Warren as an inspiring opening act, social entrepreneur Samir Ibrahim suggests hip-hop and its stars can help us move from talking about the problem to rapping about (and acting on) solutions.

Countdown is TED’s global initiative to accelerate solutions to the climate crisis. The goal: to build a better future by cutting greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030, in the race to a zero-carbon world. Get involved at

the problem its in the fact that hip hop roots, and where it is more efective, are on a portest tone. THey manage to get near on this song but not from the right angle, in my opinion. Protest baceuse of lack of action isnt the same as protest because of opression, BUT LETS BE CLEAR climate change is gonna opress low class big time. I time to time get ever more impress with how low class, or as we called it in my country “humble class”, dont worry about their real climate future, we will lose people, wheres the protest for that? i mean real scenario protest, “my family is organ-failure dying bc of damn climate breaker shitti economic sistem” protest… THIS AINT ABOUT HOW GOOD A SONG SOUNDS, its about how bad does it really need to be to give that emotional punch capable of reching others… i mean just make it relatable. Peace

Im inclined to think this idea is great and execution will be very important.
People tend to uptake goals when they see an impending difference. When someone imagines what may happen if they do do something against what may happen if they dont do something, they get motivated to uptake goals, by Judy Ho.
Reminders to appreciate the planet in the song at hand are existentially correct to this topic, because they put focus on the planet, and in volume, will inspire action. Additional directional correctness will come from
hip hop also portraying the world as if imagined by a person post climate catastrophe, and hip portraying the world as if imagined by a person post climate catastrophe aversion.

Assalamu Alaikum, a man named Mohammad Qasim has appeared in Pakistan who has had many Rahmani dreams. His lineage is Quraish. Many people in different countries of the world claim him as Imam Mahdi. He does not claim to be the Mahdi. The essence of his dream is that we must eliminate all forms of shirk, this is the path to success. Among his dreams are World War III, Ghazwatul Hind, Dajjal, Yajuz-Majuz and other great signs of the Resurrection.

  41. MUHAMMAD USAMA

    July 24, 2022 at 5:17 am

Muhammad Qasim’s dream: I saw that the president of U.S.A went to Israel for a visit. I said that ‘’There must be a reason for this and I have to find out why,’’ I wore a suit and flew to Israel on a plane type machine, the president of the U.S.A and the prime minister of Israel gathered in a building to meet.
I said that ‘’I must go inside and if Allah ﷻ Wills then no one will recognize me’’, I took a Allahs ﷻ name meaning Bismillah and went inside no one stopped me since they thought I was part of the meeting.
There was a huge hall in the building and there were many people in it, I kept an eye on the president of U.S.A and the Prime Minister of Israel, then they both went to the corner of the room to a cabinet type area.
I followed them and saw that they sat there and started talking, I said that ‘’I have to get closer in order to hear what they’re talking about’’.
‘’I don’t think they will recognize me since no one has yet,’’ I stood near them as if I was minding my own business.Israel’s prime minister said that I have almost completed the secret Temple of Dajjal and soon only the name of Palestine will be left and then we will rule the entire Middle East.

This is an incredible point raised by Samir and MyVerse+Kristen…Climate Change is a pressing issue…and if Hiphop can influence its listener’s to be more aware of climate change…then that’s a beautiful thing….i don’t understand all the negative responses to this video..very weird

    • Rampant Obesity

      July 25, 2022 at 11:53 am

It doesn’t feel like authentic hip hop because it has such a clear agenda. They might as well be rapping about the refreshing taste of Pepsi.
This is not to say that climate change awareness isn’t important, though, just yo be clear.

    • ABDI ABDALLA

      July 25, 2022 at 12:11 pm

@Rampant Obesity they used hiphop flows and cadence and swag to convey an important message..if a professor of Ecology or sustainability who was wearing nerdy glasses and balding would have tried conveying the same message these 3 formidable people tried to convey to a young hip audience it just wouldn’t have worked. If you wanna listen to Myverse’s Mixtapes and music and poetry and rap battles outside of this you can…she’s insanely talented. Her subject matter ranges from civil rights and police brutality to fun hiphop that was traditionally made in the 80s and 90s. Check her out and also check out Kristen

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Matthew 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
