Sorry works when mistakes are made, But not when trust is broken. So in life, make mistakes but never break a trust.Because forgiving is easy, but forgetting and trusting again is sometimes impossible.

Really liked the message being said here about being that little voice in the back of someone’s head to tell them that their dream can come true just, “keep going”, “you can do it”. Something very important to teach the youth in this day and age to have hopes and dreams for their future. Really enjoyed this Ted talk 😄

In some senses, I think Eastern Cultures have a lot of those kind of messages and support. The problem is the balance, and the lack of strong human interaction and bonds. I don’t know, just sharing some thoughts.

@Filipe Wissmann Nunes No I honestly agree, its very fundamental to express ourselves with one another. For lack of a better term I believe that by sharing some words of encouragement we can help those who we may not be able to see whats going on behind “closed doors” and the challenges they have faced to get where their at. Its very insightful to know that simple gestures and words can shape someones life drastically and fully understand your point of view aswell.

You spent nearly 14 minutes identifying how through social experimentation you were able to conclude that messaging is an essential component in shaping positive identity and expanding life possibilities. I agree. However, in the last minute or so you undermined your thesis ever so slightly by discussing the paradox of your brother Reggie, who managed to develop a positive identity and forge an accomplished life without messages that were reinforcing or supportive.
Furthermore, why was the racial identity of your high school guidance counselor important to mention? Is the implication here that he was racist? I couldn’t help but recall how my high school guidance counselor, who was Black, encouraged me to “forget about college and work at the floor plant (Armstrong) like your Dad” because his assessment was that I was “not college material.” I never thought it was racially motivated, but it certainly could have been and that message helped derail my early adulthood in many ways. This summer, at the age of 57, I’ll be applying for my doctorate in nursing practice after becoming a mental health nurse practitioner. I didn’t start undergrad until my 30’s because it took some time to overcome the gravity of my past.

I love this and can wholeheartedly recommend such supportive gestures based on my own experiences of giving and receiving /not receiving.
My concern lies with the communities that see a level of choice about the future as a fantasy, who see any opportunity for even basic education or a good reason to undergo it in near impossibly disruptive conditions. Those people have been sidelined for decades and the few opportunities presented in these areas are so few and so fragile.

This is gold. I think we’re slowly walking toward a world with vast access of information, strong identities and achieving people on all layers of our society.
I think Artificial Intelligence can make a large impact in this field too.

The wisest thing that is in everyone’s minds today is to invest in different income flows that do not depend on the government, especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in gold, silver and digital currencies (BTC, ETH…. stock, silver and gold)

The whole point of discouraging people is to stop them from doing what they want. Whether this comes from racism, jealousy, or something more evil, the outcome is the same. If you’re not the favorite, you’re going to have to work harder. Being forced to work four times harder for a quarter of the reward is a form of cruelty, and it fundamentally undermines society. The resentment within one’s own heart becomes as toxic as the discouragement, probably more.

I am new to the stock market. Every stock that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks.I believe having 175K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. I know this sounds a bit dull but I would like to know if I should learn investing or let somebody else (more capable like a FA) do it for me? Please share your thoughts. I am kind of tired of searching for a good stock to buy and losing all the good opportunities.

Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again
