wake me up when can we have a romantic relationship with it.

It cant see and perceive anything because it does not have a conscious awareness so thats false information.

This is some recompiled CNET short. Regurgitation content.

The head should have 360 degree view so it doesn’t have to rotate at all.

    • @maxluthor6800

      June 8, 2025 at 12:05 pm

that might increase the need for additional compute to process all those incoming pixels

    • @revisionfour

      June 8, 2025 at 3:12 pm

@@maxluthor6800Thats true. But it would cut down the time the robot takes to swivel his head around. He’d be faster, more intelligent and more aware. I’m sure more compute could be in the cards in the future.

    • @AnupomAG

      June 8, 2025 at 5:00 pm

@@revisionfour Yeah well it looks more human with how it is.
If we really wanted to make the most efficient robot that wouldn’t look like a humanoid

    • @Disciplined_Won

      June 8, 2025 at 8:36 pm

The header turning is totally for working with us, humans. We need that signal.

  5. @DeepaliSalvi-n2l

    June 8, 2025 at 11:32 am

To avoid lag, the turning of the robots head could be replaced by adding a 360 degree camera that enables the robot to view all angles at once. That could resolve its weird legwork which might be occuring due to blind spots.

Should technology like robots and AI pay ‘payroll taxes’ for each person it replaces? How are governments going to make up the shortfall in tax revenue?

  14. @Clark-Mills

    June 8, 2025 at 3:45 pm

1:46 The center and right images on the pictured display present the left & right “eyes” respectively.
If you are able to do it (and I can so you might), you get to “see” the 3D view from Atlas’ perspective.
But unsurprisingly the resolution is low given the low quality transfers.

This most likely going to turn into an insane situation i hope people are preparing. The best way to prepare is to start buying silver hand over fist as tons of silver will be needed for these robots. Make it super expensive for these companies to continue their developments.
