Unboxing Apple’s New $549 AirPods Max 2 in Purple
At first glance, the AirPods Max 2 don’t seem like much of an upgrade from their predecessor. But when you factor in the improved noise canceling, sound quality, voice-calling performance and new features, they do seem to be about 20% better than the previous model. That may not seem like a huge difference, but it’s…

People say Pixel phones etc are a niche market but still a large enough one and they do things better than others. I don’t need raw speed when they get the job done. Their SoC is optimized for AI not speed and to do that at a lower power consumption. I’m not heavily into games, I’ll play Call of Duty Mobile sometimes and forget about it for a while but I like videos, AI and studying. Unfortunately I’m sick or I’d study. I have what feels like strep and a fever of 100.9. last night I was worse. I barely slept 3 hours because I was feverish and it felt like I was gagging sometimes. But now I’m a bit better and yeah, watching YouTube. I have just enough mental energy to pay attention. But I think Google really innovates in AI and their phones are a software experience the most and they do a great job at it and they have decent hardware.

Problem is Google Assistant seems to have gotten worse, so now I need Gemini to do basic things. Biggest issue is Gemini’s answers to simple voice questions are sooooo long. I just want two or three sentences, not an essay.

I only want *one* thing: for Google to actually allow Google Workspace customers – you know, the _paying_ customers – to make use of their products. With a _paid_ Google account, I am not permitted to: use Gemini on my phone or through Android Auto for device control (e.g. make a call, send a text message, open garage door, turn AC on); use the Fitbit app with my Pixel 3 watch; access Nest doorbells, cameras, smoke detectors, etc.; and many other things.

Great video thank you! I’ve been hearing that Google may go to eSIM only here in the U.S., if they do I’m out! I’ll just upgrade to the 9 Pro and sell or trade in my 8 Pro. I’m one of those crazy people that uses 3 phones and swaps out SIM cards. I use three for different reasons.

I don’t think media and YouTubers really understand how much the average consumer doesn’t care that much about AI. AI can improve camera and such but we already have apps like ChatGPT so Apple being behind Google isnt a big thing at all

Personally I don’t care about apple intelligence. But I know a lot of people who got the 16 particularly for it. Plus, companies advertising a product that doesn’t exist or ready is just robbery.
People who bought their product for a feature they advertised but didn’t get it should be somehow compensated.

Every year, the prevailing headline is that Pixel is coming after Apple. And, every year Apple doesn’t really get phased by googles efforts. The customer base for Apple isn’t going to switch over to Android, no matter how much the media tries to clickbait the subject. lol.

The cost of repairing Pixel phones if something goes wrong is scary.
