These changes are great! Apple has for too long prompted anti consumer practices and its about time this freedom is given back to the consumers. Now anyone mad about this needs to realise no ones forcing them to use these new optional features and they need to stop falling for Apples propaganda

(ATTENTION) (Turkey Stock Market ) Follow the shares of software, artificial intelligence and defense company “ARDYZ “, which remain very cheap compared to their peers on the Istanbul Stock Exchange…There are estimates that ”ARDYZ” shares can make big gains in the long term after the developments in the field of artificial intelligence…..

Hopefully the US congress wakes up and follows the same path. Our lives are increasingly becoming more reliant on digital services, and for Apple to take av 30% cut off of that is pure mafioso

Personally, I can’t see the issue with Apple’s stance. If you don’t like their ecosystem, go somewhere else, it’s not like there isn’t a choice!

Are Google’s Android users actually any better off? Were Micro$oft’s Windows Phone users any better off?

For all of the hype and controversy, iOS developers have made more money than rival device platforms combined, many times over, for one simple reason, people buy apps on iOS!

This has lead to better quality apps, especially with Apple’s scrutiny of apps code for malicious content, which costs money.

The suggestion that “some” apps aren’t available on iOS, is ludicrous. I don’t know of one app that’s available on rival platforms, that isn’t already available on iOS, other than some controversial apps. Now, there may be technical reasons, due to iOS’ API limitations, but that’s a whole different story.

While I appreciate some of what the EU are trying to achieve, politicians should not be making decisions about things that they do not understand, and it’s obvious that their advisors aren’t necessarily the experts they need, to make an informed decision.

When I made my choice, two of the reasons I chose to use iOS over Android, were the fact that people “actually” bought apps, and there wasn’t a way to download and use legitimate or illegal apps, and Windows Phone was already dead, after Micro$oft had already killed their own previous Windows Mobile platform. The least said about RIM’s Blackberry, the better.

This new legislation is different from forcing a standard cable, ie USB-C. Although I have to admit, Apple’s USB-C implementations for the iPhone 15 models, were disappointing extremely disappointing.

The EU’s Digital Markets Act, could come back to bite developers in a big way, and in turn the EU. Time will tell, I guess.

From a users perspective, what I would prefer, is full control over the apps that I use and buy. Have the ability to manage my apps, the same as a computer, download my apps, choose whether I want to update my apps. If there’s an issue, have to ability to go back to previous version etc.

Right now, if any of these mobile platforms remove an app, whether on the Stores discretion or the developers choice, we as users loose access to that app, and possibly our data!

Sure, there are ways around this, but why should we have to jump through hoops. For most people, this will never be an option.

@App13 should consider hiring you as part of legal in upcoming EU skirmish 😂

      Why only Sil1c0n should make $, it’s everyone’s right.

Apple has taken steps to counter the new EU law which has massive negative potential impacts to developers and consumers. They did not go into details of the pricing changes and new user experience guidelines for apps like Epic, which are a big L for developers and consumers.

The reason I like Apple is the security. People need to stick to Android if they want to be able to download whatever they want.

The reason i like android is the security. People need to stick to apple if they want their info hacked. And be stalked by pedophiles.
