Things being this stupidly complicated is why piracy is on the rise again.

They need to edit this video. I and a bunch of other people have their fiber Internet 1000 plan, and we can’t log in. So far Tech support has been no help at all.

OMG SHUT UP!!!!!!!! What about people like me who have none of the things you’re talking about and just want to obtain HBOMAX without having of the other previous services. For people like me who want HBOMAX but don’t have GO or NOW your little guide is completely irrelevant, and just eventually ends up sounding like giant bells that won’t stop ringing

I agree with you. I can’t find the app anywhere on my Roku.

God Bless America and Warner Bros. of course. It’s the best studio out there today. Just imagine all of Christopher Nolan Movies, DC, Wizard World, Magic World, and all HBO shows. Real shows not just cliches like Netflix and Disney.

Hey CNET maybe you should comment on device access? Especially the lack of Roku support currently from HBOmax. I have LG TV’s and a houseful of Roku devices. If I had to pay for HBOmax what the average person does I would be pissed, at this point I’m merely annoyed. And where is Space Ghost?

What about if you have HBO through Amazon Prime.. or Hulu? Not exactly “everything you need to know.”

I hope you do another video explaining why HBO Max is not available on Roku devices.

While I do have an Apple TV and a PlayStation 4 they are on the 4K TV in the living room. In my bedroom I have a Roku TV so I can’t watch Max in that room. Wouldn’t be an issue if my roommate and I didn’t have to share the stuff connected to the living room TV.

So if I have Go and Now, and don’t get Max, can I get Now or Go, but not Max, through AT&T, without Go, but with Now, and skip Max but keep Go, while paying only for Now and Go, on Hulu, through my Roko, and stream it through my Chromecast, so I can get Max on my Fire stick and not miss out on Amazon Prime? Asking for a friend.

I was surprised max is eventually replacing now. I figured they’d keep all 3 services but I like this a lot better

  31. ktt1977

    May 28, 2020 at 8:08 am

I got the impression HBO Max would be a combination of HBO and CineMax. I guess I was mistaken.

  32. Mrmeeseeks 515

    May 28, 2020 at 8:39 am

So hbo max is the superior of the 3? Max has everything the other apps have but more. Basically they are just gonna replace now and go with max? Because that sounds better to me. Hopefully they bring more dc shows.

I get HBOMAX for free since I get HBO for free via Directv due to my unlimited plus plan for AT&T Wireless

Depends where you live, take for example most people don’t need landline but most service provider have it as mandatory part of package ,I personally prefer cable if only my service provider offer 4g/5g cable or sattelite tv landline and flat rate internet that would be awesome ( since my current dsl pairs are in terrible condition and like most isp they see no reason to invest in optical fiber infrastructure , over regular dsl I can’t get speed higher than 1 Mbps / 500kbps when I turn Cable tv ,that is whole reason for me to switch to 5g )

  35. Mr-Bledi

    May 28, 2020 at 9:54 am

this is becoming the same as for the cable services, like having hundreds of channels and only watching 3 or 5… same with these streaming services, i watch 1 series to netflix, another one to disney another one to idk hbo or prime video, and i’ve ended up with what 5 subscriptions …. and now instead of having all in one place, i should switch apps every single time

I’m more of a movie buff. I like big hits and theatrical releases. There are shows on there that I haven’t even watch. So, regular HBO has served my needs pretty well. I like there format of premiering a new movie every Saturday, gives me something to look towards to. I like that HBO max lets you download the content thru WiFi and taking it with me for times when I’m going off grid. I wish their DC hub was a lil more beefier, which I think will be over time. I wanted to watch Man of Steel and Swamp Thing, which both were lacking from max. Their Conjuring Collection was missing Conjuring 1, Annabelle 1,2. HBO max is more exciting if you never had HBO, but in my case I’ve been a hbo subscriber. So, the majority of movies on max, I have already seen. Because they were on HBO. It’s gonna take some time for their max originals to be available especially with content production shut down from covid-19.

These companies blowing my mind! Back in time, I thought, okay, Netflix would be enough, then Amediateka, then Disney, then Apple, in russia Okko, then Kinopoisk hd then Wink!! Just unbelievable money to pay!! Totally looting the consumers!! The real old days of pirate streaming are coming back! 🙂

  54. Todu

Netflix+Hbomax+Disney+=everything a man wants=31$/35$ (I don’t think the premium plan is that much better than standard) and most cables cost 40$ or higher with some stuff no one watches. Tell me why cables still exist
