The VR glasses are kind of interesting, and I’m curious about the Gen 3 glasses.
And I’m definitely concerned about the privacy and security issues, but I’m much more concerned about the public reaction to the security and privacy issues. I’m blind, and I use smart glasses and agentic AI all the time to navigate the world more easily, and I’m becoming increasingly reluctant to use those tools because I’m afraid of how someone else is going to react to me. I AM blind, but I can still sense the suspicion and hostility whenever I use those tools in public… And that’s not to mention all the businesses that are starting to ban smart glasses in public spaces.

It’s a shame that these tools that are helpful for people with different needs aren’t doing anything to prevent the privacy issues that are causing suspicion. I wish there was a version of these that aren’t uploading everything to Facebooks data centres or being used for taking videos of people without their permission.
If a company that actually cared first about supporting people’s needs and less about harvesting all the data in the world made them i’d be way more comfortable about them

Take note viture, rayneo, xreal- ADJUSTABLE IPD!
Not having it, absolutely made every single one of those unusable for me. They will likely be brighter than this, yes. At the eye, its looking like 120-250nits. “Displays are around 1200nits. BUT the lenses absorb so much light’ But at least the meta device is useable.
Having displayport is an absolute gamechanger. Its where the steam frame failed, being usb2. So, soooo many possibilities having displayport.

Are the VR glasses actually 84 degree FoV? I’ve seen other reporting saying it’s 70 degree FoV.
