Thank you for the review. But, I do see a lot of off-level horizons that my OCD-ish videographer self makes me cringe.

Yep! It was bugging me, too; I did not have the horizon leveling on, but depending on what res you shoot at, it can be fixed in the Quik app. And thanks for watching

after bringing my 10 to freedive and recorded 4K, it overheated. I had no choice but sold it.

    • Benson Dental Associates

      September 14, 2022 at 4:12 pm

Yo sane thing happened to me. Why is it overheating in water??

    • Uy Nguyen

      September 14, 2022 at 4:31 pm

@Benson Dental Associates because its design for thermal sucks. simply is that. recording 4K video can only last under 5 minutes. With 2K it would be 15 ~ 25 minutes.

Any word on the new “mini”? Would love to see a minimal gopro for motovlogs

    • Josh Goldman @ CNET

      September 14, 2022 at 7:18 pm

It’s the same insides as the Hero 11 Black, so the shooting capabilities are nearly identical. it’ll be available toward the end of Oct. for $399 or $299 with a free one-year sub to GoPro’s cloud service.

@Josh Goldman @ CNET Thanks! I’d seen the photos, prices on the video, but am curious to hear about the compromises, battery life/size, and final weight. Should be an interesting comparison against the Hero10 Bones, despite obviously retaining water resistance and a battery. 👍

I bought the hero10 couple months ago knowing very well that this new one was far too overpriced so I bought the hero10 for $350 which is where these cameras need to be priced at. Don’t you love it when there’s inflation and their camera’s only cost 1/10 of the price they charge to produce. Save yourself some money get the hero10 which has a new camera sensor. The hero11 does not and in fact there won’t be a new camera sensor until hero14 releases. Their tic is 4 years being as the hero10 just got the new camera sensor.
